Trade Smart and Win: Best Trading Strategy 2024 (91% Win Rate)

I've backtested this strategy on different forex pairs, be aware the more realistic winning rate is 50-60%. By far not 91% on a larger sample size as Kathy states. A 1:1 RR won't give you much of an edge, aim for 1:1.5 at minimum.

@@BKForex Hi Kathy, don't get me wrong I do think the strategy is solid and very interesting and it's great that you share it. I actually read one of your books as well. I'm just sharing my backtesting results (4HR & Daily chart). 91% does not seem realistic over a large sample size by following exactly these rules. I hope my comment will motivate people to backtest themselves before putting their money at risk, that's all.

@@foreverstudentoflife Please backtest it yourself on the EURUSD/GBPUSD/XAUUSD on both timeframes and you will see that you won't get 91 winners out of a 100 trades. Good luck.

***Important Question*** Do you wait for the candle to close before entering a trade? Seems like if you do we could be entering way late, considering we are dealing with daily candles.

So at the beginning she states that you want the PRICE to close above both the 20 and 50 period SMA to buy and then below both to sell, however at the end she says do you see the power of waiting till the 20 period SMA is above the 50 period SMA before you buy, so not sure if she means to wait for the first one or the second one.

I think you would want to wait for 20 above 50 for longs and 20 below 50 for shorts.

These setups are pretty rare in a one-day chart if you want to trade actively. I like to go in daily, but this gives signals weekly or monthly.

QUESTION--Many active forex pairs have daily volatility of 120-150 per day. Even if you enter on the correct side unless you take profit every 2-3 days much of profits disappear. And draw downs become big drag. And if you are trading prop account it blows up. Any suggestions/wisdom please?

I think the strategy can have some 50-60 % win rate alone, but if you combine with correlation + macroeconomic analysis you will probably get to 80-90% otherwise the big banks and institutions won’t pay billions of dollars in building offices and research thru out, around the world. But I like how she approaches macro analysis and intermarket analysis on the videos

When price moves in a strong trend in one direction, any, I mean any trens following strategy will work. The problem is when there is no clear trend or the trend is choppy - that's when you lose. And make sure to forget adx for good - that one is the most useless indicator of all.
