Congrats Brian! I think you're the first to shoot a POV on this trail where we, diehard viewers, can actually enjoy the view because of the wicked amount of smoke in BC. Great video and even better timing for the nature of the year. I guess your summer bike plan ended up being perfect!

Good day to you, Mr. Kennedy! Another fine ride from the land of BKXC. And a helicopter ride to boot! Let's roll! 1:43 - Man, there is barely enough room for the chopper to land! 2:12 - Sphincter factor; 11 2:27 - (speaking television director jargon) ready scenery...and... 2:30 - ...cue scenery. 2:47 - once again, we have a body of water. You just can't seem to get away from riding someplace that has water. You are blessed. 😀 5:05 - That set of rocks looked like it could've bucked you off if you weren't careful. 8:21 - How funny you would mention Nate Hills not talking. I was starting to think that it was getting quiet for you. Not used to not hearing commentary as you ride. I'm guessing this trail requires that much more concentration. 12:20 - Yeah, I have problems with coming out of the pedals, too. I just upgraded my flats to Specialized Bennies. These things have some pretty aggressive pegs. I've only road them once so far (at the time of this writing), but they seem to be doing well to keep my feet on the pedals better. We'll see. 13:48 - I'm hearing some nature in the background. Birds and what sound like water. I may be imagining that, but that's what it seems anyway. Gives me the impression you're riding through a rain forest, almost. Oh, wow! How about MTBing through a rain forest?! THAT would be an adventure! 14:04 - Whoa! Don't fall to the right! 15:53 - I just realized, you've been following your guide this whole time. We haven't seen or heard from the others in your group. Is it just the two of you for this? 16:58 - Oh wait, were they ahead of you guys this whole time? That was fun. Seemed like a fairly technical trail that even I might be able to take on. The helicopter ride looked fun, too. I've been on a couple of those in my life. So I am curious what criteria you use to edit your videos for your Patreon cuts vs. your KZbin cuts? How do you decide what is premium content and what is for those of us who haven't yet been able to join the Patreon bandwagon? Thanks for sharing. Stay upright and keep the rubber side down.

I know I said this before but best trail so far on your world biking adventure. Heli biking is the best, but imagine hiking the 7 hours just to get to ride down the entire 7000 feet. That would be a well earned and savoured ride. From top of the world to the valley epic.

Not sure because this was a 5 day trip, all-inclusive, but I updated the link to Wandering Wheels in the description. If you want to do it, hit them up!
@ShadeAkeley7 жыл бұрын
depends on the flight time to get up there, but typically on such an heli (which is an AS350D Astar) the operating cost per hour would be around 800$, subject to change to the goodwill of the company/pilot. Doing it alone would clearly cost quite a lot even if it's a 15min flight. But usually the Astar can take up to 5 passenger, but count 4, maybe 3 maximum because of the added payload for the bike rack and bikes themselves. Well, short answer, a lot. :)

From the very beginning the trail doesn't look difficult. Very windy turns once you guys started but slowly loses steepness the further you get down. Would you say it's a intermediate trail for the whole ride ? Or at the top and beginning is alot steeper then what the videos shows and is really like a double diamond?
@bkxc7 жыл бұрын
It's not a double black diamond, but definitely a black for the steepness and consequences if you make a little mistake.
