There is aprox. 22.5 miles out there, you missed the 5.2 mile Green Loop (beginners loop) its a blast too, always great to see the little ones out there. The black square was explained to me, if you do the features its a black diamond, if not its square. The people that built this trail are building the Dragon on the west side of the state, 47 miles around a lake. I trim out here at DTE, the trails are always improving too. DTE has been on the bucket list for a while. Am hoping to finally hit it this month. DTE is an energy company. Electric and gas mostly. So yeah, they've got $$$. Merrill (as in the shoe brand) sponsors a local trail by me as well and it's cool to see stuff like that.
@swajmicas Жыл бұрын
Was Merril and Dte built by the same company ?
@RedWingsninetyone Жыл бұрын
@@swajmicas I don't believe so. Merrell was created in collaboration with West Michigan Mountain Biking Alliance and a local trail builders group with sponsorship from Wolverine World Wide, who makes Merrell shoes/boots. DTE was built largely by the Michigan Mountain Biking Association with sponsorship from DTE Energy.

It was time for something different in SE Michigan . Alex Stewart of Spectrum Designs did an amazing job for us in realizing our vision and then some. If it wasn't for DTE Energy stepping up with the initial funding and further substantial support from REI and a multitude of donors we would probably have ended up still chipping away at maybe the second loop. Glad you enjoyed the ride. Maybe next trip you can ride the venerable Potawatomi Trail down the road. It's more typical of SE Michigan trail riding .
