This journey has now been spoiled by the enforced use of MK2 aircon coaches with central door locking.

We were talking to someone at Glenfinnan viaduct, who told us that back in April this year a tourist on the trip decided he wanted a better shot of the train coming across the viaduct and opened the door and nearly fell out.
