Black Algae in pool treatment that WORKS!

In this video I show you the best black algae in pool treatment that works! This is the best product that I have found to date that will keep and eliminate black algae, mustard algae, and green algae from growing! If you have a plaster pool more then likely at sometime you will have black algae this product will eliminate it and keep it from growing for up to 6 months! If you have ever had mustard algae you know that mustard algae and black algae can thrive in good free chlorine levels. This product will put a stop to that. Give it sometime to kill the black I have had it take a week.

I think this is the first time I have posted on You Tube. Yes, this product works. I had the beginning of black algae spots in my in ground gunite pool. I was seeing more and more spots on the bottom and starting up the sides. I followed the directions and even kept a log on the progress. The log isn't very long because it worked so quick. I didn't brush it after placing the pod in the pump basket and within 3 days the spots had lightened to a pale gray and the brush knocked the spots off with no effort. I put the brush up and let the pool vacuum take care of it. I'm impressed.

I have used this product with excellent results over the years. The only caveat is you MUST be almost anal in the cleaning of the filter and balancing of the water prior to putting the product in your basket. After that, the pool remained remarkably trouble free, no more weekend trips down to the pool store to try one more useless product. Not sure why it works, but it works. Of course you still need to pay attention to your pool levels, etc.

if i have a 22000gallons pool, do i need booster too? I need the black package,right? Do I need to test my water every week? if i brush the algae before or after using this product, will that help to remove the algae better and faster? how many hours should i run the pump? Thanks.

You don’t need the booster unless it’s around 30000. Make sure your chemicals are balanced and your filter is cleaned before adding the product. You shouldn’t have to brush the algae in my testing it wasn’t needed. I would give a week or so for it to fully remove the algae. I always recommend running your pump 8-10 hours daily. Put the product in in the am time at the start of the pool pump running make sure not to clean the filter for two weeks so you don’t lose minerals.

All of the ingredients that are in this is going to be in solution and the manufacturer guarantees that there’s not gonna be any staining issues all pools have some copper in the water but this isn’t going to raise it much

There is a “Pool Rx Plus” also, and the difference is it has 2 other active ingredients… silver and zinc… I would assume the “plus” product would be better… but I don’t want to be wrong. Is there any downside to these extra ingredients that you are aware of?

With the pool RX line of products you’re not gonna have to worry about things like staining that are found and other products.

I have not seen the plus version I just use the standard black version for most pools that have black and mustard algae and it works well

It depends on the severity of the black algae. I’ve seen results in as low as one week and up to 3 to 4 weeks for it to fully be killed off. Just make sure you get the proper size of pool RX for the size of your pool.

Yes I have used them for black algae and they work great! Just make sure you have the proper pool or ask for the size of your pool and with the black algae do you want to give it some time to do its job that’s gonna depend on how bad it is in your pool just follow. Yes it’s safe on vinyl liners as well as plaster pools And you can install it anytime of the year the main time would be during the spring and summer time but Algae also forms in the winter but it’s more easily managed.

@@ClearlySeen I appreciate your help! My neighbor told me to purchase the booster and dump it into the skimmer, then purchase the "pod" starting in the spring. Is this also what you advise? We'll close our pool around Oct. 30, currently a little green ( and frankly I'm over the struggle!)

I’m not sure if you’re talking about the pool RX booster but if you are that would probably not be enough unless you’ve already used a pool RX in the past. Usually if a pool is green I would highly recommend liquid chlorine and depending on the size of the pool you would use 4 or 5 gallons And then you would let the pump run for a couple of days. The pool RX will kill the algae but I recommend it more of a preventative. Hope this helps.

If it’s black algae than the liquid chlorine more than likely will not work and you will need a normal pool RX

To lower the stabilizer levels you will need to do a partial drain and fill of the water.

This product may work I have no idea, but if you follow the Troublefreepool method of pool care you will never have algae in your pool. High cya is usually the cause of Algae. The pool store tell you 1-3ppm or 2-4ppm of Free Chlorine. But if your cya is 100 you need way more chlorine than 2-4ppm to eliminate contaminants
