There is nothing like "black American or African American". Rise folks, this is just political. Black is African and nothing else. Being born and raised in the US/UK doesn't make you American/english bro, we need you home. I'm Ugandan living in Uganda, East Africa and we sometimes conflict with whites who think by being born in Uganda makes them African. They can be Ugandan by nationality but you can only be African if you are black and nothing else. I would love to see my brothers in the US, those whose forefathers were maliciously and brutally taken in enslavement to come back home. We are waiting for you

Thanks so much man..this is a great video about africans…we love you too my brother. Tell AFRICA AMERICANS that we have GREAT LOVE for them. They are 100% part of us. It’s in us to love and accept them, it comes by nature….we call it ‘UBUNTU’ here in South Africa. Love you my brother. I REALLY ENJOYED THIS VIDEO TREMENDOUSLY. Please come again to South Africa. We really love you and we want AFRICAN AMERICANS to live with us and among as they are OUR VERY OWN BROTHERS AND SISTERS. WE ARE ONE PEOPLE!!!!WOW YOU MADE MY DAY….it’s always AMAZING how we reflect to our African American brothers and sisters. They always bring the best out of us. We have been living with people who hate us who came from Europe UNINVITED and INVADED our country…thanks so much that God preserved UBUNTU within us black people even though we are surrounded by bitter white people. We forgive them every day and try to love them as it’s in our nature to forgive and love people UNCONDITIONALLY. We love you my brother…you made me very happy today

I’m planning on making that trip in January. Setup a network so other African Americans can link up. If possible

i like how you broke down that the different races know about black Americans and they won't dare try that slick shit with us! You're absolutely right, that's worth half the trip right there :D

We just have been disconnected from each other for 400 years that’s all!

The issue is that we have foreigners coming over here taking over our politics. Black Americans do not have that same leeway in their countries. When they come over here and get into politics they help people of their ethnicity and not black people as a whole.

Haven't watched the video yet, but I'm responding to the title. From my experience (because it's not like there's any data or studies on this), I'd say there's just a gap. A gap that can be overcome mind you with some patience and empathy on both sides. We do not hate you. Consider this, winning the lottery in West African countries is not what you think it is. It's not about getting a ton of money. It's defined as getting a one-way ticket out of Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, or Cameroon for example, to countries like Britain, France, and most popularly, the United States. That's by definition, what winning the lottery is. Immigration is also extremely difficult. It is initially extremely hard for most of us to empathize with Foundational Black Americans who were born with what most of us want; the simple opportunity to succeed or fail. Of course, this kind of disregard is terrible on our part and actually hurts us both. I've talked through it with the Black American friends I have and we understand each other much better. I will admit there was a strong need to distance myself from you in my early teens but I learned in my early twenties that this was a horrible mistake. It's an L a lot of us African immigrants have to hold. I still carry some guilt regarding this as you can probably guess. EDIT: Lol I was way off base with this after watching the video. Still, the message stands.
