Does this work with the black and decker 1.5AH 18v battery? I’ve found one for sale without a battery and charger but I have this battery with my drill so wondered if it’d still be worth getting or if the run time is shoddy with the 1.5AH

I have the 36v Black & Decker. Really like it and I’ve a leaf blower vac that used the same batter so I always have a back up. Today I nearly did all the edges of my garden. We have 2/3rds of an acre. Nice review.

Oh wow ! That’s a large area for such a strimmer, great effort though ! You should have a look at my newest video, at the end I pull out my Husqvarna 325iLk, would suit your area to a T 🙌🏽🌱. These are great bits of kit though, thank you!

Hi There Informative clip thank you. Please let me know what thickness of string it uses? This is very important. Most of the battery pwr ones use the 1.65-1.8 Cm. Which keep snaping!! Please let me know. Thank you

Hi Aldo, I actually don’t own this item anymore but it is a thin line probably around the lower end of your margin, I would definitely recommend if it’s anything more than light maintenance then you get something slightly larger, have a look of my lawn care videos this year I use the Husqvarna 325iLk that uses 2mm-2.6mm and it eats through almost everything

Bro why not put the wheel where it can best roll, the concrete and thus performed use the concrete as a visual aid in maintaining equidistant dimensions?

In spring I bought a craftsman 20 volt trimmer with the understanding I could return it if it wasn’t powerful enough. 2 days later I returned it. It’s basically the same as yours. Frankly, it’s a toy. No real power, couldn’t really trim anything. I turned around and bought the 60 volt toro. It’s light The battery lasts long enough to complete all my trimming on my 1/2 acre. Save your pennies and buy a real trimmer. I paid $159 US dollars
@JayRockGroundsMaintenance

Totally agree it’s for light use and edging, not much more, check this video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpW0d6WsiNemfck I now use a Husqvarna 325iLk, loads of power and plenty of uses. Bli 200 battery will get you roughly 20-30 minutes constant strimming of rough areas, probably closer to 40 minutes if your just doing light maintenance.. love it 😄

Where did my post go? Anyway, bottom line is don’t waste your money on toys. It has no power and anything with any thickness will give it trouble. I returned a Craftsman, almost identical. Was useless. I bought a Toro 60 volt which has tons of power. If you’re looking for less expensive this is the trimmer for you. I paid $159 US dollars. Lightweight too. Another bonus

New for 2023 no button for string feed! I assume it feeds itself when needed? Please advise. Thanks
@Cheez-Itz_Christ
@Cheez-Itz_Christ Жыл бұрын
Yup, as the string gets shorter, the load on the motor is decreased, this causes the rpm to increase which in turn unlocks the spool and allows the string to feed until the rpm drops again.

How often did you have to replace the wire when you were using it?
@JayRockGroundsMaintenance
@JayRockGroundsMaintenance 3 жыл бұрын
For the light edging I was actually using it for around my garden I never had to change it once in over 6 months. But I think if you were strimming longer stuff or using it weekly it would probably be changed at least monthly. The cord is pretty thin, exact size I can’t remember 🙂🌱

Wow that’s terrible, I didn’t have any problems with battery loss with mind but my garden is 70m/2 in total so really doesn’t take much of a toll on the machinery. But it’s definitely not meant for harsh work, more light maintaining. I upgraded to the Husqvarna 325iLk this season for edger and strimmer shown on my latest KZbin video on grass height reduction 👍🏼🌱
