I had one of these years ago and enjoyed the versatility of the interchangeable lenses. Everyone else was going for Rolleiflex but these were considerably cheaper on the used market and gave great results. Having the bellows allowed for extremely close focussing although the parallax issue at those distances made it a bit hit or miss. Good video.

I love using my C330f, especially with the 105DS lens which does let me see depth of field. I keep thinking I should sell the outfit, with five lenses, three viewfinders and a paramender it's very heavy. But it is so nice to use!

Hallo Lee, I am so glad that you have the Mamiya. I own the Mamiya C220 f, which is basically the same, only lighter camera. I would say, you won’t regret it. The lenses are terrific sharp I highly recommend the 55 and the 180. For me, they are almost as good as 4x5 lenses, only more portable. Actually I look forward to a vacation in Normandy in 2 weeks, only with the Mamiya C220 f and the 55, 80 and 180. Very good choice, much sharper than the Pentax 645 n ii system, and that’s no slouch either.

This was interesting. I kind of like TLRs. I have've had some nice photos with my "next to holga" Lubitel 3. I've an eye for a way better quality 6x6 for a while. It is such a different format from panoramics or usual 3:2 or 16:9 or 6x12 I've liked more and more recently. (No 6x17 yet:) Oh, my 6x6 Lubitel is the only camera ever I've got a smile when I did street photography. So it's versatile, I guess even if I have lots more street photos from my Leica or other rangefinders.
@LeePengellyPhotography2 ай бұрын
@@hoggif Yes 6x6 is very different to wider formats, I remember using 6x6 before and always felt it to be a natural way to compose. It’s a very clunky old thing but I love it 😀
