There was 13% Hindus after 1971 not 35%. Currently it's around 8%. Their numbers didn't decrease but percentage decreased because Muslims have higher percentage of population. So, over time, the percentage is bound to decrease. The Wikipedia talks about 33% Hindus in Bangladesh in the 1900. But if we talk about India in 1900, there were 30-40% Muslims in India at that time. But it's only 15% now. How do you defend that? Don't ever think about a separate state. Otherwise, you will lose your northeast.
