Favor: please use letter caps on hashtags (BlackApparelArts vs blackapparelarts) so screen readers can read them properly. Let's be accessible as well in our diversity! ❤️

StudioCanal is in pre-production on a Josephine Baker biopic. Ms. Baker, as you know was an American born French citizen. She was decorated by President De Gaulle for her Resistance work with them Legion d'Honeur. Before WWII she entertained thousands and wore cutting edge clothing. I'm just hoping that the Costume designer sketches amazeball drawings. Oh and Ms. Baker was Black.

This is just the best. I feel it's so easy to take the importance of representation in popular media for granted, and I'm sure some POC hadn't consciously considered this either, the historical representation, or how it could be retrospectively revised. What you've done here is amazing, Dandy. 👑🎩🙌🏻

Realising that some of the joy from these beautiful illustrations comes from the fact that they are novel to me, says a lot. It’s great to see representation & diversification as an outcome, but the inspiration you fire up within people is thrilling! There is so much energy, talent and passion in these art pieces.

Definitely going to try this challenge! I do have a close friend who’s half African American and White and she’s so expressive with her outfits I’m certainly getting the inspirational to ask her to be my model and do some illustrations. And I do have a some pattern illustrations that I can play with. Thank for the inspiration Dan there certainly needs to be more representation. I’m also sending this video to my classmates so they can get inspiration too.

Fantastic video, and great featured artists. Interesting to look at the transition from student to working professional where help may be needed too to put more diverse voices out there! It was such a fun project to take part in, seeing everyone's contributions too. Always fab videos from you :) I hope you raise a lot in the sales!

Stepping into the fray on this... Its always good to see more inclusion for everyone regardless of there ethic origins. I certainly believe that we all have talents that should be celebrated and I take my hat off to all these fine artists creating these fine illustrations. As we move forward through this century I really hope and pray that we all live in peace and harmony together as humanity.
