If they ever bring the next book The Son of The Black Stallion to the movies, I do hope that they ask you to use your Black as Shetan in the start of the book as your Black looks exactly like Shetan. Never had horses, dont understand about horses, never will have a horse due to financial reasons and only rid a few times on a horse but looking at black...wow, all i can say is congratulations for having such a beautiful horse. I'm glad you think he is pretty. I know some people don't like black horses, but many people do. "Black" is a great horse regardless of color.

Thank you :) American Hero is a gorgeous colt and one we really hated to part with but it's good to know he is doing so well in Australia. He is a 3/4 brother to Black. American Hero's dam Golden Silk is a daughter of Black's dam, Black Silk.

Well, as a child I lived on an Arab farm that stood two studs (my mom was the trainer there). I've been around this breed quite a bit.

Thank you, I'm glad you like him. It is the fashion to trim the bridle path back on arabians to show off the neck and throatlatch. We prefer a full mane and do not trim the bridlepaths on our arabians at home, we leave them natural. Black's bridlepath has grown out since he has been home and he has a lovely, long, full mane.

Yes, of course he is "rideable". However, I am past the age of breaking horses myself and after many very bad trainer experiences we are reluctant to send him out when his primary purpose to us is as a breeding stallion. He has a full brother who has done a lot of winning under saddle, his sire has sired many National winning performance horses, his dam has shown under saddle, he could also given the opportunity.
