It is difficult to comprehend that this fine film was made 5 decades ago. Beautifully crafted movie staying close to the book by Anna Sewell. Ireland and Spain were the location counties for filming. Mark Lester (Mark A. Letzer) who plays young Joe Evans is now 62 ! Apart from the advertisements it’s a classic and wholesome entertainment from a time never to return.

Patrick Mower is 85yrs old, still acting and looks amazing for his age today. He used to live in Dukeswood Gerrards Cross Buckinghamshire, tiny town next to my village. We knocked on his door as kids early 1980's because he was dating Suzanne Daniel. Just wanted a glimpse of her being 12/13yr old lads then but they weren't in according to his Butler who answered the door. She had done Hammer House of Horror and Tales of the Unexpected and was very sexy back then and then she went and married that ugly golfer Sam Torrance....i wonder why?. ££££££££££££££££.

@nikitamenezesgama26482 жыл бұрын
The movie is a depiction of sickening times, and the reality of that time. It's based on a novel by Anna Sewell, who loved horses very much, and wrote the book Black Beauty, more to create awareness and build empathy and consideration in the masses towards horses. She hoped to change the way horses were treated during her days, and hoped to shed light on the same. Makes me terribly sad too.
