Isn’t the reason you don’t regularly see judokas in mma is because the IJF forbids practitioners from participating in other martial arts simultaneously with judo?

@@ricocarter9789 Hmm I'm not too sure on this however most Judokas that we've worked with did mention they're only transitioning fully into MMA once they've completely stopped judo.

@@qrs_group yeah okay that may actually be a thing then because I heard that from someone before but wasn’t sure how accurate that was. I guess more of a way to like retain practitioners. I know some of the guys I train with that were competitive amateur boxers before getting into mma pretty much alluded to something similar like a conflict of interest and pressure to focus on one or the other from coaches. It might just be like purist thing too.
