I am so glad you go camping. My brother has MS, in a wheelchair and stopped going... maybe because he was overwhelmed. It made me so sad because it's his favorite thing to do. I'm sorry to hear about your brother. It is a bit overwhelming to have obstacle after obstacle to make it through a camping trip. I just take my time. It took me over 2 hours to set up my campsite (a 20 minute job for normal camper) including the white awning which I did by myself. Focusing and executing takes my mind off my aches and pains and when I relax and eat some great food as I watch a sunrise/sunset with deer, squirrels, birds and running creeks, it makes it all worthwhile. I have camped by myself for about 2 weeks each of the past 2 summers. It reminds me that I am very capable and that is a drug that lasts and keeps me chasing adventure.
