cats are my absolute favorite animal. cats are not like dogs, but they do have their ways of showing affection, and that they do care for their humans. i think i will always have a soft spot for cats over dogs, though dogs are great animals in their own rights

Just last night I heard my dad yelling from a horrible nightmare. When I came to see him to try to figure out what was going on, my cat immediately jumped up on to the bed right next to him and started making air muffins. It was so cute.

That’s not true at all, and it’s odd that you should be making this comment on a cat video, especially one where the cat is being as loving as this one, as opposed to a cat vs dog or just dog video. One of my cats, who had virtually never sat on anyone’s lap, sat on mine several times when I was ill for a long time, and it can’t have been because he just wanted a warm place to sit on, he’d had countless opportunities before when I was at the computer or TV for long stretches. Cats can also be sorry when they’ve been mean or overreacted to something, there were a couple of instances when my cat was especially affectionate after protesting loudly or swatting me for no apparent reason. And, in addition to a couple of examples of cats being caring creatures mentioned in this comments section, there’s the famous story of a cat rescuing a little kid from a vicious dog attack. I could go on if I wasn’t tired of typing on my phone, but hopefully you get the picture now.

@@simonr6553 I am talking about all cats but maybe your cat is the best cat in the world, i don't know but that's a general nature of a feline, whether its a cat or a jaguar or even a lion. U may be overprotective or supportive towards cats or ur cat, to be precise but the universal fact is the one which I mentioned before. What I said is a general thought. Have u heard someone calling "faithful cat"? Or its the dog which is the one. Cats don't protect their masters. Their genetic traits are, sneaking, stealth, looking for an opportunity which is always at their favor, territory marker and last a self centric.

@@jaideepdatt6480 cats and dogs are both loyal. It’s just that cats don’t blindly obey there owners the same way dogs do. Cats do have the ability to care and they show affection by licking you or rubbing against you. A large majority of cats do that. A cat being faithful isn’t uncommon at all. Cats do and have defended their owners before. Idk where you got the whole cats don’t protect their master thing from. When it comes to home break ins cats don’t really understand that concept the same way dogs do. They are definitely not self centric

@@jaideepdatt6480 how about dogs and cat are **different** species that are **built differently** and have been domesticated differently? It really pisses me off when people expect a cat to act like a dog and get mad when they don't... That doesn't mean a cat will be any less loving and affectionate towards their owner - each cat has their own personality and it depends on how they were socialized as kittens. Contrary to populat beliefs, cats are not solitary animals ( just look at how cat colonies come to be); I've had many cats through the years, all raised the same way, some were more affectionate than others, I feel like a lot of people who say cats are cold don't know a thing about cat behavior or had bad experiences with cats... TLDR: stop pitching cats against dogs( some people may like one over the other and that's OK), they aren't and never will be the same, and people who do think like that are just ignorant.
