@LJM331 Right on! There are many AmeriIndian brothers and sisters that have migrated into the U.S from Mexico and south america and speak their languages. My P'urhepecha people reside in various states in the country, but I doubt that any government wants to acknowledge our existence. It hurts the colonizers too much to see so many Natives, they rather believe their "vanishing race|" myths then deal with the fact that we are many and strong.

😂 My neighbour was one day really nasty and rude and screamed at my mother while I was in front of my door holding my husky in a leash. My husky is extremely friendly to people, but next time the neighbour passed us, didnt even touched him just sniffed ( around în between the legs) him and the guy crawled around the walls, white as they are. The husky really did :" You! You' re a small man, you hide behind your fear....! You smell of coward"

You're right, those are actually from the census...The Navajo Population is actually over 300,000 but I think the count was 189,000...The census doesn't do a good job in couning us...I do believe the Native Populaton of North America is over 10 Million, the Amerindian population in America is about 9 Million, put the two together than there are over 18 million...Indigenous populaton in the Americas could be about 70-80 million (maybe more).

You’re leaving out the Mestizos. Mestizo is the mixed blood Indians of Latin America. Due to colorism they identify as only Hispanic and they deny their Amerindian heritage. But south of the border they are called mestizo. Self identified indigenous in latam are only 30 million and mestizos if added, the numbers sky rocket. With Mexico alone it’s 60% mestizo. Also A lot of Hispanicized Indians become “mestizo” even though they aren’t mixed. So there’s no way of knowing for sure.

I'm proud of who I am but you got to admit having mixed blood does make it hard. I have Native blood but I don't know what Tribe. I'm also African American and white. It does confuse you. Especially when you learn the history. Some Natives didn't like blacks or even owned them back in the day. The whites didn't get along with Natives and the whites enslaved my fathers people. It really makes you not know where you stand or fit in, if you can fit in at all, even though you want to, Sad.

@LJM331 I think the numbers you give are extremeley conservative if north american is a geographic area and Canada, Mexico and all "central" America is included. In Mexico alone by the most conservative standards 10 million people are recognized by the government as "full" although the numbers are much more than that

Because of it he don’t get housing. Funny cuz south of the border it’s the other way around. South of the border you get better living opportunities if you’re white. In certain parts of Mexico rent going up to kick out the brown people. It’s cheap living for white people but too expensive for brown people
