Hi Darrell. Congratulations on your 5k achievement. The left photo with the milky water was our favourite, we are split between shutter speeds, Sandra prefers 1/8 and 1/4 for me. We thought your waterfall shots were very dramatic. Thanks Jon and Sandra

There is a video scheduled for 20th November all about photographing moving water. I do a comparison of of shutter speeds and how it changes the photo.

Good stuff Darrell, thank you for posting. Following your trip to photograph Bearded Tits/Reedlings the other week, I went to Leighton Moss to do the same (successfully too!). Now I've researched routes to Black Clough Waterfall and intend making that trip tomorrow - keep 'em coming and thanks for searching out these places - I think that finding decent locations can be quite difficult at times.

Glad you had success with the bearded tits. Hope you found the waterfall - let me know how it went.

@@DarrellOakdenPhotography Hello Darrell - crossed the river but then could not find a route to the falls before it started hammering down with rain and I had to give up. Definitely going to try again and this time have a GPX route to follow which I found on the ever truthful internet 🤭 (Just hope it is accurate)

When you cross the river opposite the path that forks off to the right( that I mentioned in the video). The path follows go along the river on the left of it for around 200 metres before the valley forks to the left then the falls a only a short walk up the ravine that I fillmed in the video.

That is correct. It makes for a more interesting video as well if things don’t always go to plan.
