Are you sure you don’t just think that because you read the manga and had prior context? I notice a lot of people say that the openings of some anime spoil everything but they also read the manga and when I didn’t and watched the same opening it revealed very little because the fact I didn’t really have context for what I was looking at didn’t let me draw that many conclusions from it.
