Got my 7 amp, at ACE, in January for $49.99. So far, it's been ok. I use it mostly for driver work; my 5.5 amp works with lighter drilling. Great review, Ty. (I'm gon'na check the grease, thanks!)

I balked at the review being 20 mins. but watched anyway and enjoyed every minute. Every sentence was to the point and full of information. I bought the dr560 to replace an old B&D ½" from the 80s that just gave out. (Thanks for briefly visiting that topic as well, now I'll be revisiting the old drill to check the wiring based on your observation). As far as pricing out here in Phoenix it's exact opposite between ACE Hardware & Walmart where ACE was $55 & Walmart was closer to $100. I was kind of surprised. But anyway great review you have reinforced my choice in a drill.

I use to have a dr-350 in 2007 I paid $29 new at home Depot only thing I like about that one was it had a gel cushion pad in the back instead of regular rubber over mold and the truck had rubber grip instead of plastic came in a plastic case I blew the thing out so who cares

Dumb question: What is the diameter of the neck. I want to use this drill in a portable drill press.
