Black Desert Online - Cow Farms(Haystacks) and Should You Have Them?

I know this video is really old but Olvia is NUCH better now. I have 10 alts parked there and gather milk with them when they hit 300 energy. They're all still in the apprentice range for gathering as I just started doing this and generally get around 700 milk per. I then use a storage maid to send the milk to Velia. From Velia I use another alt to take the milk out of the bank and put it in the market bank to ship it to where I have my cooking set up

3 CP to use 1 haystack. Maximum 3 harvestings/day. You have to use 2 breedings to get 3 haystacks (average) = you generate 1-1 haystack/day. 1 top quality haystack gives you 45-50 milk. Summary: 1 CP will generate 16,67 milk/day. That is pathetic low income. Just pick up all cow quests than finish all in one time! You need more complex logistic and some "quest slots" but that is not bad. 5 energy to get 1 normal milk drop +45 milks in quests. :)

That’s not a lot of milk per day in quests and also I’m not understanding your 1 cp will generate 1,667 milk per day.

Producing milk to sell (or using milk to craft other products and sell them) is not profitable. You can spend same CP in other simple investments and you will generate more income/CP. +You can generate more milks. Just mass produce any cooking products! (example: beer). Additional "trash loots" will give you enough milks

Mass producing anything cooking wise, first of all is a terrible idea as it makes you no silver for the cost of time. Second of all, farming milk is a solid way to keep a steady supply of milk for someone like me that cooks as my main income these days. Third of all, milk byproducts DO NOT give enough milk compared to the amount per day received from farms for the cost of CP vs the cost of time and utensils. I’d rather not spam “beer” for milk. Thanks but no thanks, my time is better spent elsewhere. Also, who farms milk to sell. LUL.

if you have many workers beer and feeds will be nice. You can cook boiled eggs or other "low" imperial pack materials too. (sometimes you can snipe many eggs in MP). The problem of haystacks is the offer: you have near 0% chance to snipe them in MP. Nobody sell them. If you have to "breed" your haystacks you will generate less milks. other products in same farms can generate more income. But this is your choice. I don't have high demands in milk. Maybe you use more milks every days to make this strategy good business... +Cooking is AFK skill. If you don't play you can cook 900x any foods in short time (20-90 minutes). it's standard coffe+eating or short offline placeholder option. :)

Yea but I don’t think you understand spamming anything makes you no silver for time invested. As a guru+ cook I know this. Cooking IS not afk at 8 minutes per intermediate tool and doing imperial is at max around 200mil a week with my current 350 CP. that’s not a lot of cooking. You want to talk about ways to get milk, farming is the best way. Quests won’t get the required amount an neither will bypruducts.

It's better to harvest usual haystacks for diferent reasons.. 1. Almost free on market 2. You dont need to breed them so you basicly harvest 2-2.5 usual haystacks instead of 1 special 3. At the moment for the cost of special haystack you can just buy same amount of milk that it will give, for the same price on market

David, I think that a very good option is to do the milk dailies (I believe there are 2 in Olvia and 2 at the farms around Calpheon). They also give the option of getting eggs instead. Solid value for your time/energy spent.

does special gives more milk than high quality/normal haystack ?, cause Other seed for example sunflower seed, they give special sunflower but in less quantity.

King T.Gaming were you breeding at 200% cause i heard him say breed at 200% and harvest at 100% and up also getting more haystack is all about rng not guarantee to get two or more.

King T.Gaming sharpie summed it up. I don’t have an updated guide on milk farms because it hasn’t changed much since I posted this over a year ago. Special haystacks all the way. Anything other gives less. It’s rng if you’re not getting multiple breeds. I say breed one, harvest next if you got two. If not breed again, rinse repeat.
