Advice from a veteran of bdo for 3 years of playing, dont go past soft cap if you been playing for a few months or even a whole year its not worth, it just do life skill explore all the game has to offer, learn alternative ways do your workers based on your own effort and not by following someone else guide, just play your game dont mind others or their gear, those who grind for days and months are the first to leave the game they almost never stay and didnt even make much, do your 60 min daily grind if you want or use it to lvl alts to get better fame bonus, well do your shit and enjoy it thats how i lasted in this game and the best way to go with it imo.

i don't really agree with that tho , it all depends on the player , i would say your are right , at softcap you should try to take a break and explore the game and do something else but as long as you don't blow up your main gear , i don't see any reason why you wouldnt try to keep pushing for upgrades. It doesn't hurt you if you just keep playing the game and as you play you gain a bunch of mats and then upgrade back up gear for PEN (eventually ) and then use your silver to buy accessories and smash them, just take it slow and eventually it will come , as long as you don't get tilted and blow up your main gear. Imo the main reason why so many people still play after all this time is the progression , you always have a reason to keep doing your life skills , managing your worker/nodes, or grinding , if it's not for progression what are you making money for or why even play ?? The ones who quit are the ones who want everything NOW and think they can hardcore grind for a few months and be at the top , when you understand that this game is a marathon and upgrades come whenever they come then you can start enjoying the game and try to explore every aspect of it.

I wish I could just re-download and start playing again after watching this. I was a lvl 62 Wizard with 552gs and I got fed up with all of the pvp changes and how servers were always empty so I went and did tet accessory and boss pen roulette all with under 50fs. Well I lost all my tri yellows, except for my free ring and earring for 61 and 62 oc, and ended up with mixed pri and duo boss gear and weps and 1 pen Bhegs that I got with 48fs believe it or not. I sold all that and deleted what I couldn't list because I didn't have the resources or patience to repair the durability. I did all this thinking that I have played BDO for almost 3 years and it almost took over my life so I had to make sure I wouldn't want to come back. I still have the 62 wiz and over 5 bil though. I miss the game and especially the pvp very much and all of my friends and guildies too! I am almost considering starting over with a new character, maybe the archer but your video was part inspiration and part "Fuck that I am not putting myself through the absolute hell that is gear progression (at least pass soft cap it is, if I told you how easy it was for me to enhance my tri yellows and tet boss gear you probably wouldn't believe me) in Black Desert"!! I guess time will tell. Great video and dude you so deserved those 2 wins at the end! GZ!!
