"A CPU can be bottlenecked without being at 100%. This may be due to one or more things: The software doesn't issue enough threads to saturate the processor. As a bit of background, Windows (and by extension macOS and Linux) schedule tasks based on threads as they come in, not by the application (or process, as they're called). And threads are scheduled to run on any available logical core, unless told otherwise. The problem I find with bottlenecking though is people think this is a black and white issue. Either you have it and it's so terrible you need to drop everything because oh my god why are you wasting your money, or you don't (or rather the GPU is the bottleneck, which is the ideal case for games) and everything is hunky dory. Unless you have top-end hardware all around, you will always be bottlenecked somewhere as far as gaming performance is concerned. And sometimes it shouldn't matter. Like every time in Civ when the computer takes its turn, processor usage will shoot up to 100% (hopefully) and your FPS tanks. Is that bad? No, because by design, Civ lowers the priority for graphics rendering to spend its time calculating computer turns, because that's what's important. So really, until the system no longer meets your requirements, you shouldn't really think about bottlenecks. Otherwise you'll just be chasing your own tail trying to get rid of them."

Yeah. Only issue would be mass scale pvp fights. Even I have issues. I was on 1440p with 8700k and 1080ti before.

@@RepeatAgain979578 Depends on what you want and if it's worth it. I would go for better CPU first and DDR5 RAM. 12-13-14gen intel i7 or 7800х3d amd. Then 4070/4080 gpu. Amd is cheaper but with Nvidia you could do more things like rendering videos much faster using the gpu and not only cpu.

Hey, good questions :) 1. I don't feel stutter in grind or fights. But it's not the gpu responsibility for that. Didn't have issues with 3080 too. CPU is main improvement for high fps then gpu if you have high/remaster. For nw I still feel smooth and could fight at my best but siege is dogshit as it lags so much even if I sustain 150-250fps in lag xD. 2. Windows is optimized, as windows could be, I mean, less programs features on background, and using mostly ecores. Bdo cpu affinity for pcores and high priority, nvidia driver optimized. The card is just in OC bios with limits to 133%power and 88C temp.

I use ultra low latency in nvidia driver. Reduces the numbers of fps waiting at cpu end to be feeded to the gpu for render. Basically as 1 frame is ready it goes to render which reduces the the time from cpu, gpu to monitor. New cards benefits less milliseconds, maybe 5-6ms. Old gpu could get 10-15 or 25-35, something like 10 series or below.

Hi. Good intel build. Just be careful with the ram stick manufacturer and Motherboard manufacturer. Kingston is kinda 85% of marketshare of all ram so it should be best for most mobos. Any way, check mobo and ram sticks official site if they are comparable, do both pls. 6000mhz, if it's not stable, you can downclock. Get the fastest ssd read speed you can get and 1T or even 2T of storage. Then for 1440p. If you buy 4090 and play 1080p you are dumb, period. I run 1440p 27 inch, IPS, 240hz. That is the golden middle. 12700-12900-13700-13900 would have very, very, very similar gaming performance, because you will only use 8pcores for games and BDO is a must to allocate only pcores for max performance. I tested it 230 all cores vs 330fps only pcores(still keep hyperthreading on for all other apps).

In conclusion: forget 1080p. Get 1440p 240hz. My system runs avg 150, max 240+ and min 120fps while grinding different spots. No Mather if lowest or high or remastered, your fps will be very similar, just lower graphics might be a bit more smoother and less lag spikes/microstutters. In NW I am at lowest graphics stable 100min and upto 230hz in big battles, while my team moans they have 5fps xD. What you ruin your experience would be huge fps drops like 240 down to 100 then back to 200. This sucks but it's rare. It's just BDO, not the hardware. I managed to reach max fps 750 in BattleArena but that's just after windows reset and tinkering for highest fps. I will expect to have 300-400fps while fighting in BA. Then 200-240fps fighting on ultra in BattleArena, but it will draw huge wats like 750-800w. My peak was 850w. I hope this is useful. Have fun exploring this great pc build. And lastly the system of 12 and 13 gens are not stable enough as you would expect from 8700k but it's performance is of the charts.

@@dim3920 once you go 1440p you don't go back. You can even go 4k,144hz. It's the cpu Bottleneck not gpu in 1440p. In 4k you will have gpu Bottleneck on high graphics but in low graphics I think it will be fine.

i have i7 12700f and rtx 4080 remastered a brand new pc with literally 1 game, bdo, no other software no crazy min max optimization fps range from 100 to 160 but its usually sitting at 140 when grinding, idle is like 200+ fps…. town is like 90fps

Nice bro. Till 200fps no cpu optimization is needed with remastered. I can only recommend turning off hyperthreading and installing ISLC for the ram. Believe me I have tested what hyperthreading off and on does with fps, 220+ vs 320+ on remastered, then lowest graphics 330+ vs 450-650 in battle arena. Heck I upgraded to Ups to 1200w cause on 200fps ultra in BA I get ping from old ups what I draw too much power, spiked at 850w. Have a good one mate.

@@ShadowGardenBDO i think you misunderstood my question. im asking you what is the point of buying something so expensive when their is cheaper hardware that could achieve the same results in low graphics. bdo is primarily a cpu bound game so the gpu is only doing so much unless you play in a higher resolution and texture quality. if you had a 3090 or even a 4070 you would most likely get same fps in low because the cpu is the biggest factor for bdo.

The gpu matters to a certain extent in bdo if you play it at a high graphical settings. If you're playing at a low settings then the gpu can't show you what it really can do. You can hit 250+ fps on low on a 2080ti with the right settings and bios tweaks. Im not only asking you why do you drive a high end car, I'm just asking why did you buy a high end 1000hp bmw but only drive it to and from work doing 15 miles below the speed limit? It will be better with better gpu never the less but on lower you will be fine with less powerful gpu. What matters is the resolution fhd, 2k or 4k and will you upgrade in the future.

I have around the same framerate in the same open world places in remastered with a 13700k@5.5ghz all cores and 6000/30 CAS RAM. I don't really lower settings for BA so IDK what the CPU framerate cap is but I assume it's 375-400 because I'm at 300+FPS on remastered running around open world. BDO really do be CPU bottlenecked. People do all of these optimizations when the only actual solution is a fast processor with fast RAM.

How to get more then 120 fps? No matter what I do always capped at 120. my old laptop with a Gtx 1660 can only show 144 but I can still have in some games 300 fps. So weird

Hi, you might wanna change some settings, find my guide about some of those or just google bdo ultimate performance guide in reddit, download the document. Make sure you have hyperthreading off for bdo. I mean not in bios but with batch file which allocates the said mask(exact cores) you want the game using. This is to bypass the anticheat that disables this doing it from process lasso(also in guide, help determine the mask). I did a test with all cores, all even number pcores and all uneven number pcores). This is long after the video. So each physical core splits in two logical but ppl say intels real physical corebis the un even number ex:1,3 5 7 9 11 etx. There is no big real difference between but with uneven num. Cores I had most top fps 650 in BA with optimazed settings and lowest graphics. Make sure you have textures high, load on cpu if left on something else. So my system what matters is: 12700k 5.0al pcorea, 3.9/3.8 ecores, ddr5 5600, 4090, main ssd Samsung 980 pro 1T, oh and I changed to 420mm coller: best upgrade. I hope that's useful and you give me some feed back.

Unless you have it on Ultra settings, in which case you should swap to Remastered because Ultra is just for screenshots, you have some sort of massive issue with your computer. Either the CPu is not running at full frequency or the GPU isn't or there's some parasitic background process or something else massively wrong. edit: If you're on full screen window mode, it caps the framerate at that monitor's refresh rate. It's a Windows quirk in gaming. Swap to Full Screen and try again.

Hmmm something don't add up. 180 ish FPS in 1440p with a 4090???? So glad i didn't waste my time buying one and waiting for custom blocks to release. Currently for me.....High/Remastered, txaa, saoo, FRS off. native 4k with Nvidia control panel maxed out, AF x 16, AA x 8, clamped with Trilnear off, and ASO off, High quality textures. Lowest fps i hit is 205 ish in Heidel town square. Grinding low is 240. Siege the other day was steady and solid at 210-290 depending on people. Not sure what all you have tweaked and tinkered with. But you shouldn't be getting 200-300 FPS dips on that card. 12900k OC 5.5ghz 5.2ghz ring, 64 gigs ddr5 6000 cl 28 primary, secondary timings lowered, 2x 2tb Sabrent rocket gen 4 nvmes in raid 0, 2x rtx 3080ti's ftw3 on custom firmware flash to enable SLi, corsair ax 1600i psu full custom loop, mono block, gpu blocks, 3x 360 rads.

Sounds like capped fps. Check monitor settings if it's 240 or less. Check if windows display is 240 or less. Check nvidia control center if you have gsync or vsync on, turn them off, and also check the if your monitor is 240hz there. Lastly check if you have display cable. If not and you run with hdmi, it might be a old cable with low bandwidths and not support that fpa at that resolution

I didn't like the remothering because of too bright colors, my eyes quickly get tired of it. in general, "very high" settings are more appealing to me than remastering. perhaps on newer video cards, remastering produces a nice picture. but mine is not. rtx 2080 ti SLI

But skills look best with remastered and even better on ultra. I even use ultra more than remastered just to push the card and cpu to the limit and power draw goes 700w+

I'm sorry to disappoint you but I have limited time and probably different time zones. Also you are limited by your cpu for fps with 4090. A better cpu would improve that (12-13th). Reduce UIs windows as chats and other eats cpu resources.
