Can you point to where it says the 2.5 is an exponent rather than a coefficient? Bevause that is not what the anime said. And if this were true, it would mean the gap between regular attacks and black flashes gets bigger the more powerful you become, which is now what we see; if it were, Yuji would be one shotting Sukuna with black flashes
