I remember having a substitute for our band teacher. He was really old and he conducted so slowly. So we got to measure 23 and started building, and we completely left him in the dust at the point where all the sections come together (I forgot which one since I don’t have it anymore). Sometimes I just listen to this to have flashbacks of 7th grade honors band, things were soo simple , the memories of growth and practicing this wonderful peice of music with my band brought tears, many lost memories have been revived. Btw I'm a french horn in highschool now in Wind Ensemble it's crazy how time flies.This music is a perfect balance.
