Thank you all for being bold and having this discussion. Back in 2018, God began to show me how my involvement in a sorority was not of Him. I made the decision to denounce but then circled back and read through the entire ritual book. Holy Spirit led me to scriptures so that I could see how those rituals did not line up with the Word. I implore anyone involved to please do the same. 🙏🏽 There are hundreds of denouncement testimonies on YT as well.

Thank you all for this…for years people tried to make me think I had a problem because my spirit never agreed with secret societies/organizations….now I’m a member in a COGIC church and many of my brothers and sisters in Christ as well as my biological brother are tied to masons and Greek organizations and it’s hard for me to listen to them teach and preach to others about personal failures that can be seen but they themselves are tied to occult practices 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

One of the things that is sad and not pleasing to God is the fact that a “black” church, “white” church, Asian church, Hispanic church etc exists. In heaven these divisions will not exist at all. So many have no motivation to change this dynamic which takes intentionality and loving your brothers and sisters of every people, nation and tongue. The difference I experienced going from a “black” church to a very diverse church cannot be overstated. The Bible says that the world will know that we belong to God because of our love for one another. These secret societies, sororities, fraternities, eastern stars and masons should not be in the church, but the issue of division based on ethnicity is a problem.

Interesting history. Free Masonry has been an issue in White churches as well. I recall it being a big issue in the 80's-90's. Some pastors were talking about the issue of freemasonry and that Christians should not be part of it, other pastors said it was okay. I grew up in the Pentecostal church, they were opposed to freemasonry. There is a masonic temple in Alexandria, VA which was opened up for visitors. We went there in the 80's to visit. We were surprised to see all the Egyptian art and hieroglyphics that looked Egyptian in nature. My opinion is that any type of group that has exclusive membership is opposed to scripture.

Church has changed I was ignored n shunned and I was so excited to get Baptist n join and all of a suddent a slow disappointment took place FOR A REASON I DONT KNOW WHY TILL THIS DAY I know I wasn't welcome they did everything to me to leave So I bounced its more to it but I went to church to learn n meet God n to hear the word I didn't know anyone I was new member and I was happy to be there but others must seen my fire n anointed and planned n plotted against me ( family Freemasonry eastern star probably) as we get older you realize stuff

Read the entire chapter 2 of Ephesians and you will understand why they call themselves Freemasons. They are rebels who are building their own temple of evil doers in opposition to God. Here is the ending of Ephesians chapter 2. Debate with a Mason. Masons are not trying to keep people from Christianity or disrespect and disregard Christ. In others words, if you’re feeling some type of way because the “church” lacks the comradery and family oriented environment that masons and other orgs have, then fix that within the church but don’t condemn the Masons for it. Hi! @carlencharleston8576 They are speaking about the black church as an institution as it relates to the African diaspora in the United States rather than the Church that Jesus established. The black church as an institution was formed in the late 1800s after the 2nd great awakening. The division within the body of Christ is 100% not of God which is why de facto segregation by Christian’s is one of the biggest hindrances to the kingdom of God advancing. In terms of masonry, fraternities, and sororities they are completely against God! We are not to take oaths as Christian’s, we are not to be unequally yoked, and above all we are not to place gods above God! I hope this helps some.
