I'm taking some of my cash this Black Friday and heading to the bullion dealers to see what I can get at spot price, preparing for the hyperinflation that's coming at the end of the decade and I suggest everyone else ditch the cars, just buy something used and do the same, forget these new cars, just a distraction.

A few yrs ago dealers were charging 3 to 5 k over sticker, now they r begging customers to buy!! They can keep them!

Allot of idiots paid mark ups and are now WAY upside down. They are stuck in their cars and repossessions have skyrocketed. I’ll keep driving my paid off beater before I ruin my finances over a car. I’d rather take the $60K-$100K and invest it for my retirement, especially now that pensions are pretty much non existant.

First of all all vehicles are ridiculously over priced and I do not see any dealers giving huge discounts on anything

They aren't giving away anything in NJ. Honda CRV's are priced at $45k, Jeep and Dodge, you can't find anything under $65k and forget Ford and Chevy, trash vehicles between $60k-$100k. A local dealership is also being investigated because they are believed to be selling vehicles that were caught in a flood and selling them for premium prices.

Wife has a 2008 Grand Prix with the 3800 ll and it runs like a Swiss watch. Bought it New in 08 and I can't pry it from her. Just turned 100,000 miles.

Nothing but high prices, they could give a 10k discount on trucks and it wouldn't be enough. They've priced a lot of buyers out.

there is a Mazda-Kia dealership here in idaho that is loaded with vehicles. You can hardly find a place to park.

Saw a Ram, Dodge, Jeep dealer packed tight. They had a lot of 2023s left, every vehicle had 10k added to msrp. Little guy came out and said, no incentives really lol. Don’t know how this place isn’t out of business.

If outrageous MSRP with pathetic incentives is the definition of “giving away” . I wonder if these channels are working inline with car manufacturers to desensitize the consumer trying to make this the new norm. These no way this could be truly considered as giving away.

They aren't giving anything away in my area. All the ads are come-ons. In fine print they say they will add the sales deductions back on with options they probably don't add on to the car. If it isn't two tone paint, I don't believe the premium paint or paint protection option they add on to bring the price up to original sticker price. I also don't believe the undercoating claim. When they were charging full price, why weren't these included on any vehicle? Why only after they offer a false reduced price are these added to hike up the price again? I had to purchase a car in 2023. Now I'm so glad I did. There were fewer tricks back then (at least on the car I purchased).

Wow, don’t know where you live but in my area vehicle prices the same if not HIGHER. My wife sent pics of Grand Wagoneer 2023’s on dealer website with about 15K off but that barely made a dent in price of those lot Queen’s. If they’re serious about moving metal they’d better start cutting MSRP’s by 50% & we know they’d send them all to auction B4 they’d do that.

Last new car? A 2022 Honda Ridgeline - leasing. Son-in-law. a Honda salesman. My first good newer car, 1967 GTO, bought it in Mountain View California in 1972 after came back from Vietnam & was stationed at Moffett field NAS. That GTO definitely didn’t have much plastic but the Ridgeline does but is good vehicle.
