y'all are spot on about moving all your boxes yourself. not only do you feel more secure but also it's a lot cheaper to do the uhaul for all your boxes and then leave movers to do things you can't (like furniture). we just moved last month and did it that way! the furniture movers even commented that we did a great job doing the boxes ourselves since that's what they recommend to people. great experience

so fun seeing both of you collab! like a casual podcast 😆curious to know how you guys set up your recording space & wiring to get such picture perfect angles, especially with the lighting reflection issue. i have a huge glass wall & ended up with very strong ceiling lights that consumes power like a few air cons to reduce the need for umbrella lights. however there is still some reflection at the top glass panel nearer to the ceiling light, but its fine if its not in the camera angle.

Figures do bargain bin a lot nowdays. Except the ones I really want to bin QAQ LEt it be the new Shakugan no Shana scale from GSC, or the Kotobukiya Saber Astolfo, and the KDcolle Milize is killing me. I was an idiot missing on that and it's double the price now. Her only decent scale figure.

I had to move two times in a short period and it was brutal to unbox everything just to have to box them up again. Also I really wanted the Sakura Pinky Promise but the price and size kept me from it, I wish they had done a smaller version like they did with the Stars Bless You figure

Love the boys! :3 I got the same email from Nin-Nin Game. I feel the same way as Derick. Clearly the promotional catalogue are items that didn't sell. If I am perfectly honest, many of these items were offered in the last promotion at similar prices. AmiAmi's 20x points giveaway on selected items is nice, but they are probably more for reducing shipping cost on a future purchase than for accumulating enough to eventually get a free figure. That Christmas Pikachu is so cute!

I wonder how much is the export tax for expensive figures in canada. I have a hunch it's not as bad as it is here... but please prove me wrong so I can feel a little better.

Import is usually 12% plus a little extra from the courier for me... 😅 Also depends how much the sender wants to declare the item as too! 😊

It also depends on the province / territory you live in and the courier delivering the package. Couriers like DHL and UPS charge brokerage fees for declaring on your behalf. They don't do this upfront either, unless you buy from places like Amazon Japan which includes this in the total cost, and will wait until the package is on its way before letting you know how much tax + brokerage you have to pay. We are not as bad as Europe and South America though.
