Went Black Friday shopping with my service dog Paisley this morning and I had to be careful because the crowd was so bad. I had some lady yell at me for having my service dog with me. But another lady was so helpful and got me a cart because my arms were full and paisley too. I am greatful for my wife, my service dog and my packers blanket

I agree, so many channels on KZbin have transformed into such repulsive content, at least in my personal opinion (obviously people are free to do as they wish, I just choose to not watch those videos). I adore Peter and Mary for so many reasons, but the quality of content they put out on KZbin is definitely a big one! It's rare thing to find these days, but thankfully there are still God-loving, family friendly vloggers out there to enjoy! I choose to watch vloggers who share similar morals and values as I do, and Peter and Mary certainly fit into that category! Such a blessing to watch! God bless! 💗

I just found your KZbin channel today. I am now addicted!! I have a disease, SMA..Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Besides having to use a wheelchair, I have respiratory failure. I love you attitude and how you love Life! 3 things I am grateful for: My Mom: She is devoted to my care and I love her dearly. My grandfather's home: my safe place! Thing: my Ventilator. My vent keeps my lungs inflated and has saved my life!

Taiga Aisaka Ugh! I totally get that! On my flare ups days I need a wheel chair. It is so hard to maneuver them in stores unless it is a big store like Walmart. Most days I gave a cane which is a pain because it takes one hand to look and cart thing about. There should be some easier way for us types. Feel better soon and you can get out and enjoy being out. I know it is not much help however I find if I go anyways and push myself a bit harder it is still worth it to get out of the apartment. I send you warm hugs and bright blessings. xo

It's actually not that bad, as long as you're with someone! My mom and I go out Black Friday shopping every year as a tradition, which we've done since I was an early teen (now 23)! I lost the ability to walk over 5 years ago, & I'm now 100% wheelchair bound, so the last 5 Black Fridays I have been in a wheelchair, crowds and all lol! Really though, it's not bad at all! Pretty much every other day of the year when I happen to feel well enough to make it to the store, we always try to go during the hours when it's less busy, as it takes me awhile to look around and it's just easier with less people and no crowds. However, with Black Friday, crowds are inevitable, and since my illness has already taken so much away, there was no way I was giving up my mother and I's tradition of Black Friday shopping that we always look forward to and have so much fun together! To be honest, the first year I had to go out in a wheelchair, I was worried and scared about how I was going to manage the crowds and getting around, but I soon found out that I worried for nothing because everything turned out just fine! In fact, dare I say it, that being in a wheelchair even makes it a bit easier?! All five years people have been so incredibly accommodating when they notice me in my wheelchair, making sure to clear a path for me or helping me get a product I can't reach or get to! The whole experience truly goes by so smoothly and we always are able to accomplish everything we planned! I guess a tip (even though I've done it without doing this) is to go about 30minutes after the doors open, as it is less crowded than when it first starts, but I've done it when the doors open as well without issue it just take a little longer. Also, I always have my mom go ahead of me, that way I don't have to worry about people not seeing me as I try to navigate through the store, I just follow her lead! Seriously though, if you're in a wheelchair and are interested in trying to shop on Black Friday but haven't gone because you're worried about the crowds and how difficult it might be to get around, there is NO harm in trying it out and based on my 5 years of experience, there is truly nothing to worry about whatsoever! Just have fun with it, and don't let your wheelchair hold you back! 😊 God bless! 💗

I'm thankful for my grandparents because I know I can always come to them when I feel overwhelmed and stressed out and I love spending time with them. I'm thankful for youtube (that's a place in a way, right?) because it always distracts me when I'm not feeling well and it feels like the youtubers I watch have become me friends...even if they don't even know who I am :) And I am thankful for my christmas tree because it's the frist christmas tree I ever bought myself and I'm proud of it and looking at it makes me happy. :)

In the UK service dogs wear a sign saying something like 'I'm working, please do not distract me' or something that says service dog on it. It certainly helps to stop people from constantly wanting to pet your dog. You are very patient with everyone.

I haven't thought of lemon meringue pie in probably at least 10+ years... It was my #2 favorite kind of pie. And no one made it like my mother did. I tied a piece lemon pie at a church luncheon one time but it just didn't taste like I remember my mom's did... My mother loved to bake... It's nice to see families getting together for thanksgiving, it brings back a lot of a long time ago memories ... You kids are such a blessing. Glad to see that you had a fun filled day...

I've been with my service dog for almost 5 months now, and I've gotten so used to the staring by now it's almost comical! I don't mind if people stare, it's when they try and interact with him that causes problems. I wouldn't want to brave Black Friday with my pup, glad you made it out in one piece!

Thank you for posting this. I'm actually int he middle of training my service dog (not the white one possibly in my profile photo. he's just our family dog.) and not looking disabled is definitely something that worries me about handling him out and about when the time comes. so sending you love! and thanks for helping some of us out with your story! happy holidays!
