Im touching on this because im strongly investing in my professional communication skills.. in my case, we talk a lot to clients who mostly dont check emails so they will call you so you must be ready, English bundles loaded so yeah.. fluent English is important. Articulation 💯

I don't think in English. It is a struggle thinking on your feet in English if you are also not familiar with the jargon of your industry. Read read read! Make sure you are reading about your industry and reading articles by the leaders in your field. Challenge yourself. Reading and reinterpriting what you learn in books and articles has made the biggest change in my thinking speed.

I am currently online learning and mostly teaching myself by reading my textbooks and watching online videos. The work is not easy however if you put enough effort in it is manageable. I can't express how grateful I am to hear a conversation from people my age about a career I want to build so bad! I'm 25, studied Bcom Economics n Econometrics at UJ (2021 grad) n somehow ended up in an internship for something accounting-related which isn't ideal but it is the only place that has even offered me an opportunity, given our economy being what it is. Anyway, I loved your genuine POV's, the conversation flowed n was effortless, no pretending like you all are more than you are but just 3 evidently n sincerely smart eloquent women.
