6:54 You can choose "Tomb of Annihilation" and when you select the right side second part, if you don't have say an artifact or a creature to sacrifice, you can still do it to get to the bottom.

This format is starting to resemble Vintage blue decks. Every deck has the same 52 card snow-treasure-learn shell then the 8 remaining cards are some random haymakers.

The meta is almost always dominated by a couple decks. Nearly 40% of the decks in current standard (not 2022 standard) are winota. This meta is still pretty diverse all things considered albeit these decks are pretty common. To be fair CGB is probably partially to blame since he is such a large content creator and half the decks he plays revolve around this shell. Like this isnt a venture deck whatsoever. He literally just put an ellywick in there and called it a day. Lmao.

I’ve actually had a fair amount of success (~65% win rate) with G/W dungeons Midrange. Varis and Nadaar are both legendary (benefit from Ellywick -2 ability) dungeon enablers that also benefit the board by finishing a dungeon. Other cards in the deck include ranger class, blizzard brawl for removal, and Gnarled Professor for a few learn cards, plus some other filler.

From what I have seen, once you get a Venture deck rolling its hard to stop unless you have a board wipe. Even after that some of them can rebuild fast and pick right where they left off. Been brewing a W/B venture with a splash of U. So far its good just not quite there.

I would drop the Elywick down to 2. Replace with 2 Varis , Silvery Moon Ranger. Remove Cube. Insert Acererak The ArchLich. Arch is fantastic to finish the other dungeons. He can be played multiple times per 3 mana. and if you have varis out...you're double dipping on the venture. Plus the Innkeeper is giving you life each time. What do you think?

My favorite dungeon card is Yuan-Ti Malison when paired with Sparring Regimen and Grazilaxx, Illithid Scholar. Getting that extra value whenever it hits (which is every turn it's still on the battlefield) is just enough to hold out until you can equalize and/or flip the advantage to your favor. Dungeon of the Mad Mage's level 3 "target creature can't attack until your next turn" has won me more than a few games.

I wonder if going into the oubliette (sp?) Would have been ok? You had tons of crratures and lands so losing them wouldnt be big, and discarding an elliwick make blood in the snow more live. And cutting the completion turns makes an eventual emblem alot better.

I've only played venture in limited but I think that the Tome of annulation is the best of the dungeons even in a controlling deck the life lose rarely matter and the 4/4 is amazing
