BLACK HAIR TO BLONDE HAIR
(As stated in my vlog, I am not qualified in this field this is just the method I chose and experimented with.)
1. Colour removed the black box dye with ‘COLOUR UNDO’.
2. Bleach bath the hair with Wella Blondorplex and 20vol developer - mixed with Olaplex number 4 clarifying shampoo.
3. Rested hair for a few weeks.
4. Bleached 1-2cm’s away from the root all over with Wella Blodorplex and 30vol developer.
5. Rested hair for a week (longer would be better if you can put up with the colour and allow hair to recover).
6. Full head/scalp bleach with Wella Blondorplex and back down to the 20 vol developer (important to drop back down to 20vol to avoid significant damage). Started at the front and quickly worked in sections, finished off with the roots 10-15 mins before washing everything off.
7. Toned with Wella Blondorplex Cream Toner (Lightest Pearl) mixed with Wella Perfect Pastel Developer 1.9% - nice and fast, apply all over, process for 5 mins and wash out.
8. Washed with Olaplex Number 4p purple shampoo, and conditioned with Olaplex number 5p purple conditioner… don’t leave in too long or your hair could temporarily go blue.
