This is my dads uncle Charlie!! I grew up listening to some of his stories, he was such an amazing person. His farm is still my favorite place in the world, so peaceful and beautiful.

I had the privilege of interviewing a WW2 Pacific Theater submariner in 2014. While sitting in a waiting room at a cancer clinic with my dad I saw this man wearing a WW2 veterans hat that said "WW 2 Submariner" I walked up and asked if I could speak to him and talk about his service and he was happy to. I was in the presence of excellence. What a wonderful American.
