Great to see this video. My relationship with Franny goes back further than his links to Burnley, as we were in the same West Riding County Amateur team,, During this spell I wrote to the club suggesting they take a look at him. So it was a big day for me when they finally signed him in 1989 (I think).In 1988 he played at Wembley for Emley in the FA Vase against Colne Dynamos. We laid on a coach from Yorkshire to travel down to support him that day. UTC

yes it was Dave. He played for Emley in the 1988 FA Vase, defeated by non other than Colne Dynamos. He first played senior football for Ardsley Celtic in the West Riding County Amateur league until he was 21 (I was there too). Then a few games non contract with Halifax before a move to Emley.,Sheffield United, Burnley, a season with Cambridge United then a return to the Turf.
