This is so beautiful. Takes a song I spent rocking out to in the 90s as an angry teen to mellow it out to something I can just sigh through in my 40s. It feels like it has aged and mellowed with me. Thank you for that feeling. I love humming it to myself again.

True sis. I remember coming home from school and turning on MTV ( back when they played videos) in hopes of this coming on. My brothers use to make fun of me for listening to "white music" but every time this would come on, here they come, listening. They listen to all types of music now. I think mostly because of Sound Garden 😉

At the age of 61 I've heard a lot of music over the decades, and have tried to compile a top-ten list of my favorite songs--a very hard thing to do, since there are so many great ones. I've found that it's the songs that dig deep into my soul that have made the list (which still isn't complete). "Black Hole Sun" is one of those, and it made the list a long time ago. I just listened to the Soundgarden original, and then switched over to this one--and was totally blown away. And yes, it made me weep...

After Chris died, it was hard to hear the line without crying. After awhile, it got easier and I was able to enjoy it again, without feeling that sadness. Then I listen to this and I cried again. Not so much from sadness but that there is still talent (like this young lady) carrying the torch. "No one sings like you anymore." The way you sang it, my dear, sent chills down my spine that Chris could never dream of doing. Thank you.

That's how you cover a song. Use what you got, give it your best - but keep the spirit of the song. A most atypical arrangement with a very atypical accompaniment yet it still delivers the same feeling, the same sensation. Very well done and very well performed.

Perfect tribute to a song with many layers. Her voice and the instrumentals just take the listener on a journey . The cover is excellent because it redefines the song - from an alternative rock to a quiet meditation on loss and longing. Jennah Bell keep singing!! This is just sublime.

Interesting, but to be fair, both original songs were composed in the same musical era (if not same year), out of alternative/grunge rock so it's normal that the feel and melodies can resemble. I'm not deep into 90s alt rock but I do enjoy Jeff Buckley's music and from my point of view, he's one of the few who was using a lot of vibrato, and also used singing techniques that we're not very common within that genre of music. That style of singing is not totally unfamiliar to many other styles of music. What I'm trying to say is: I think it's not her voice/intonation that gives you that JB feel, but just the fact that she, as Buckley, used a different singing technique over a grunge melody. Hey I'm probably over thinking here! Haha
