Man, Peterson is such a good interviewer. In most interviews, Brian is asked more nuanced, but less interesting questions to anyone that isn't in the field trying to find specific answers to their own interests. Peterson understands that the vast majority of people don't have a deeper knowledge of even just the basics (wavelengths, waves vs particles, the different theories that came up in the last couple of decades to either counter or augment the BBT etc.) He pulls a lot of valuable information out of his guests to increase the general knowledge of everyone listening AND is able to tackle the nuanced questions once the foundations have be laid out. Other interviewers often either go way too basic, way too specific, or way too conspiratorial and/or imaginative. Peterson has a structure, where he makes the guest lay out the foundations so everyone starts on the same page, before moving on.

Yes this was an amazing interview! Brian is perhaps the most gifted and brave experimental cosmologist around. That said, the next time he sits down with Jordan, I would like for Jordan to project the allegory of Plato's cave onto cosmology, because it seems cosmology as a whole is not willing to accept the reality of the actual outside cosmic world that our latest telescopes images are depicting (Event Horizon telescope, Webb space telescope). What's going on? Well, starting some hundred years ago we saw two unexpected phenomena; Stars at outer galaxy arms that appeared to move too fast (for which we decided to invent dark matter) and galaxies that all appear to move away at ever faster speeds, rather counter to what gravity should do (for which we decided to invent 'dark energy'). Now, 100 years later NEITHER dark matter nor dark energy are confirmed as actual physical phenomena. We can do 2 things now; we keep on hypothising ever new fixes OR we accept the only other explanation for both, namely that our observations are not real; more precisely; that our galactic plane may be DISTORTING any light coming in from its exterior. In other words, we are only seeing 'shadows' of what is ACTUALLY going on outside of our galactic plane. The most prominent evidence that our galactic plan is indeed fundamentally distorting incoming light, is the recent EHT picture of our galactic core (Sagittarius A* black hole) which we SHOULD have see edge on, but instead we see HEADS on. That is impossible. In fact, that kind of distortion we would only expect to see in the Quantum Physical World, where at tiny apertures, light becomes inverted (Fraunhofer effect) AND where the arrow of time becomes inverted (Quantum eraser effect). So then, is this what we are seeing at the grander scale as well? Well, let's see; If we have also see an inversion of the arrow of time, that would confirm it. Do we? Well, the light from our own glactic plane has a slight blue shift. If indeed we see the world beyond our galactic plane in na inverse arrow of time, we need to see a red shift of what actually is a blue shift. Do we? YES! We see the galactic core in a redshift (it is yellowish) suggesting a cut-off situation form our galactic plane. More over, we AGAIN see outer galaxies ALSO in a read shift, which the law of gravity suggest would actually be a blueshift. So in 2 additional cases we have additional evidence that for 100 years we got everything in cosmology upside down, trying to find physical solutions for mere cave shadows of reality. But, what about the CMB then? isn't that evidence of the cosmic Big Bang? No, in this scenario, the CMB would mark the moment our galaxy formed 13,7 billion years ago (centered around the Sag* black hole) and thus the moment we started seeing all outside light (of our core and of outer galaxies) in reverse. Not that this would necessarily disprove any big bang per se, but we just don't have an age limit for it now. So next time, could we pls discuss this?

Easy and simple enough to understand that my 12 year old daughter was able to follow along and understand it. The universe is not expanding but it maybe growing a tiny but only to a certain limit not infinitely growing. Same is true to the potentiality of the universe.... it is deterministic not hedonistic appropriation to suppose the presumption of the expanding universe is valid theory! It may look like theres infinite ways to get there but one must need to apply deductive reasoning aka common sense to be able to achieve it! Ex. Electricity... it is what we use to power everything. So our technology is not expansive of its potentiality outside the realm of electrical phenomenon to power all of our electronic components and systems! Saying things as if facts? Is getting ptrtty old already... and still remain shameless! Typical trait of pseudo intellectuals tho! lol Anyway, i beg to differ to the claim the stars and galaxy are drifting away from us.... since the constellations, the big dipper and small dipper remain exactly the same shape and size! Its not growing bigger or fading out for the last 10,000 years. The giza pyramids were arrange like the star formation of the stars as the orion's belt or fasces. So... its literally JP's guest have no tangible proof to back to what he claims... they only make it as a factualized maybe to suppose big bang took place lmao

@@USAandokay That's a ridiculous thing to say, our entire human society is built upon learning from others, society wouldn't exist without learning from people around you. If a human being grew up without reading, without learning, without experiencing society as it is, we would be no different from the humans that first evolved 200+ thousand years ago. Society is a collective history of knowledge learned and passed down over thousands of years, and your criticism of Jordan is that he learned from others? There isn't a great mind that's ever existed without learning from others. What makes a great thinker and teacher is their wealth and depth of knowledge, and their ability to use that to really think and challenge ideas and concepts in order to create knew ones and move us forward. I don't know many people alive today who are better at that than Jordan is.

The one thing I am most impressed about is throughout all JPs interviews covering ranging from simple to extremely complex topics, he has the ability to articulate it in a manner that allows people who are not as accomplished intellectually to comprehend, follow and actually be interested in the topic. I have never known anyone with that ability. Since the very first video I saw of his I can wholeheartedly say I have grown a few brain cells and totally changed the way I think and communicate for the better. And it shows! When I speak to people they listen. Not because I have authority or that they have interest. But because I make what I am saying compressible and intriguing even if it’s something quite mundane. Dr. Peterson begins to explain ideas and concepts that made me a know-er of God's existence. Physics has convinced me of the reality of God. I say know-er because life's tragic gamesmanship had already restored my faith. Physics cemented it in such a tangible way. Agreed. Dr. Peterson is a rare person. To be perfectly straight, Jordan Peterson is an example of what happens when you pay attention, think before you speak and watch the outcome For such an interesting, and intelligent man, it must be hard to have the majority of the modern society telling you your views are wrong. I'm amazed at his composure every single time I get the pleasure to watch him educate an ambushing Journalist. We need Peterson for President.

I think this might be one of my favorite JBP episodes. Beyond the lofty topic that helped me transcend the petty strifes of the day, the contagious childlike sense of awe Dr. Keating exudes and his amazing ability to simplify complicated concepts gives me hope ... as well as perspective into which my troubles seem quite small and the opportunity exceedingly large. Thanks so much to you both, Drs. Peterson and Keating!

Warchild, refugee and legal immigrant here. kina virus released to fk up the elections...millions dead, billion+ with heart/organ issues...evil know no bounds, 100% intentionally released...just to get one man out of office, one man they could not buy/control. I have seen what communism will do to stay in or get in power. Anything! Chinese killed 30+ million of their own for power less than a century ago. It was a crazy conspiracy theory that FBI smoked Kennedy and now we know it is true. It was a conspiracy theory that kina virus was manmade but now we know it is true. MSM/Big Tech working overtime to censor/ban. This was intentionally released to fk up US election and for the Chinese to get protesters of Hong Kong streets because if Hong Kong goes so do commies in China. Consciousness is an awareness of a state of being. Without a state of being there would be no awareness of anything. Therefore, it perplexes me that your head seems to get it exactly backwards. There has to be something first to be conscious of it, thus consciousness must be made of what already existed.

When i play the mind game of expanding out from ones self to infinity. I am sitting than i am looking at myself sittin than i am above my house and on and on till i come to the edge of the universe my mind than returns to the self as if a loop happened if you expand to the edge you reach that consciousness and it starts from the centre of the self where i started its strange i just can’t imagine past the edge of the universe when i do i return to the singular point of the self somewhere behind eyes in the middle of your ears.
