Love this technique. I do not have any embossing powers or heat tool.Is necessary to do that step?hard to see in video what it does.Really like this, going to see if have any foil cardstock. Thanks for sharing

Can you use the memento Ink or stazon ink since the black su was discontinued?

Hi, yes! I'd use the Memento ink for photopolymer stamps and either memento or stazon for the red rubber stamps.

I think it has something to do with how I'm getting the versamark on there because when I use the heat gun it makes it all smooth. Not the texture you seem to have, in the photo's anyway. Maybe I'm pressing too hard with the versamark and covering too much?

Hi Ozpaws. Yes, you could be right, regarding the pressure to the versamark. I don't use any pressure at all - I just hold the ink pad, and lightly pull it across the card stock (basically just using the weight of the pad as I drag it across).

Tina, I’ve seen this technique before, too, but AM SO HAPPY YOU, too, GAVE IT A WHIRL & DID A VIDEO! LOVE YOUR CARDS....and especially the “coloring tip” with the “girl” stamp (name??? Forgot)! HAPPY to see you try it w/the gold CS and think the “boots” would look great on this (tho’ yours THIS TIME was a blooper! Haha! We ALL have those!) or perhaps even copper CS!!
