i'm a white canadian and my mom and i were broke af when i was growing up. in winter she would turn on all the burners, turn the oven to 400F and open the door to keep the kitchen warm. we're good now, but still to this day after i finish baking something i will leave the over door open a crack after i turn it off so that i don't waste that precious oven heat. cheers to everyone out there heating their homes with what they got!!!
