I think people are confused because Nobuo started his own company. He works for whoever requests his services. Technically he did leave Square Enix, but it's possible for him to work for them for certain projects.

@layfons Uematsu isnt at Square Enix anymore, he founded his company called "Smile Please" so 13 versus will have not of Uematsu's great songs

No, it will have Shimomura's music, that is on the same level. Kingdom Hearts soundtrack is as amazing as Final Fantasy. But, if people want Uematsu, look for FF XIV tracks, he did all scores from it.

Nobuo does do the FF music, he just is hired by contract now. And for that matter, he was right to leave. The FF games suck now. I really hope 14 kicks in because i really have no faith in SquareEnix, where in the hell did squaresoft go! Q.Q and BTW MIchio is a god! i cant do this solo but i can do the Dancing mad and lol that wasnt even him. it was his buddy =) lol andddd LONG LIVE THE BLACK MAGES!

You do know Nobuo Uematsu isn't composing music for final fantasy anymore :( ever since FFXII. Masashi Hamauzu composed FFXIII and further and i hated XIII and XIII-2. Nobou should have stayed in the company
