That was me at the Kroger I worked at. I learned basic greetings in as many languages as I could, and would randomly greet people in whatever language until something stuck. Someone said to me once, "You probably don't know mine. I speak Romanian." Little did she know, I learned "How are you?" in Romanian the day before. I whipped that shit out like I just won Gin Rummy. @@vineleak7676 first off, this is a comment from a year ago so saying ‘new’ here doesn’t really apply to what she was saying. I've been seeing this mans videos recently and just now I read a comment mentioning his passing. Even tho its been a couple of days, It actually hit me harder than I'd thought. This man had plans to go places and it seemed like he put a smile on ppls faces daily. Especially those who are, potentially, targeted to discrimination these days. RIP beautiful soul. 5:40 I love this interaction, she initially seems dismissive or at least disinterested in conversing, perhaps because of his skin colour and the stigma asians tend to have towards black ppl in general, but the beautiful thing in this is how he slowly wins her over and intrigues her with his use of her languages, and thus respect for her culture. Keep it up man, amazing stuff, one person at a time. Edit: Especially seeing her smile afterwards throughout, man that's wonderful.
