I highly recommend, the statue is very solid and the paint is seller (a bit ho hum in some places but they're places you don't normally see) the biggest issue is it is enlarged and can look a bit odd next to other quarter scale statues. His fist is almost twice the size of most other 1/4 scale fists

Even going back to the Super friends cartoon,he was a cool character and villain. Size problem aside a beautiful piece.

Nice Black Manta statue. I find the shark to be adorable despite it being well ... a shark, animation appearances had endeared me to King Shark and DC sharks in general.

I agree with your review but not sure I can agree with your choice. That statue is absolutely stunning. Everything from the paint, texture, base (I really love that water base), pose, and the design. But yeah, I can understand the frustration when Prime One goes Grande. They take up a massive amount of real estate. (Even if they condensed the boxes I'd be happier). And yes, all three of my Prime 1 Statues were hell to put together. But its such a beautiful and unique statue, you there isn't a spot where he can display by himself? The reason I ask is because I I was too happy with my Batman 52 and Venom because of their presence.

I gave this statue a perfect 10 in almost every category! What I mean by iverscaked is not that its just big, i have huge statues larger than this that are accurate qyarter scales. I have an issue with him being too large of a sculpt and not accurate to a true quarter scale. Statues in quarter scale should be between 18-21 inches if standing up perfectly straight for characters iver six feet tall in real life. This is like 26 or even more just on the height of Black Manta himself, its completely unjustifiable if you place it with other quarter scales. The statue is Essentially perfect too which is another reason why its such a shame that they didn't do their research to make it accurate :(

The base is SO cool. Some of the rocks have a plastic look to them but the animals and that water splash are super cool. Overall this statue is an amazing piece you should really consider keeping it. I have to disagree with you on having a SwampThing light-up feature. If you have Swamp Thing in the water and use a Green translucent epoxy with the light under to cast a glow up into the statue highlighting the features ... Think about it. THANKS FOR SHARING!

I thought they discontinued this? Well if they didn't, I want to get this piece. Still haven't secured a P1 piece yet. Would love to have this, However I am eyeing the P1 Serpentor moreso than this. Sick STATUE still. I like it.

It's a beautiful statue, and it seems to be the end of an era of statue's that are great deals - BUT it is overscaled - if that's not an issue for you you should go for it!

Mine is arriving next week. I been waiting for this for so long and finally it's coming. As for it being over sized....I do not mind as I will be displaying him in his own space. I just don't feel every statue I own must be displayed along side one another.

You should do what I do with my Prime 1 Batman New 52 - just keep him in the background of the display more and a bit more isolated and you won't notice it as much! thanks for the support friend

This is such an awesome looking piece. It’s a shame and bummer when P1 misses the mark on scaling. It sucks that your sending it back although I understand why. I’m interested in what P1 is going to be showing soon, I think on the 24th? I also liked that Halo (Covenant) sword reference 😆

I'm interested but NERVOUS! this is my FOURTH statue from them that is over scaled. I've had six prime 12 statues. and 4 out of 6 were way over scaled.

Would of been cool if they had added a light effect to the water, that plus the eyes on a darker room would look sick. Never seen that alternate helmet on black manta, kind of looks alien, not sure of I dig it. Normally u hear bigger is better and if this was ur only statue then probably this would be sick but I get that it doesn't fit in with ur other accurately scaled pieces. Are u getting that wonder woman!? That one looks sick! Isnt it gonna cost u like $100 bucks fo ship that back? Also are u gonna do the batman statue review, I was hoping for Batman day you would of dropped it. Another great video James!

I actually just got back from vacation so I wanted to do a lot more vids I couldn't get to :( Also they refund you for returns so its all good. What a fantastic piece UGH such a shame its not really quarter scale. And no im going to pass on the wonder woman, the pictures and videos once again looks a little too innacurate in scale. Its once again too large. Man prime 1 never used to have this problem, what happened!
