Hello, in my humble opinion the "G" works were Wolve's Winter, Sur Austru, Aquilus and Akhlys, then the "A": Seth, Kanonenfieber, Oranzi Pazzuzu, Selbst, Gaerea and Spectral Wound. Greetings from Argentina. Great ranking.

I think I’ll put Alcest in a Blackgaze sub genre category but yeah it was different and still cool for being girlfriend black metal lol. A band who released an album this year that wasn't perfect but showed a lot of promise, in my opinion, was Perchta. It feels like when it works it's excellent, but it didn't always come off. The ingredients are there though and I can't wait to see what they do next.

Black Curse's new album came out of nowhere for me so I was hella excited for it. B does fit though as a placement, their entire sound changed from a blackened death band to another doomy death metal band and sadly songs just didnt feel as unique as the ones on the first album.

Make sure you check out Barrow Lord, they're one of yours, a multi-instrumentalist from Wales and his mate from Bristol on vocals. And don't sleep on Old Forest, their new one's the best British black metal I've heard in years. And lemme ask you, does everyone tell you that you look like that Shaun of the Dead dude? Dead fkn ringer.

I have all of Rotting Christ's full length LPs. This is the first time I was disappointed by them. Sakis released a solo EP in 2023 his project is called "XES". Those tracks should have been on the latest Rotting Christ, they would have reinvigorated the LP. (Pull off the weaker tracks)
