The creepy melody at the end is the main theme from the Phantasm horror movie series. So good and entombed totally nailed the feel

The Phantasm theme at the end totally makes the song. I love that It inspired Bloodbath to recreate the ending of Left Hand Path in their own song "Furnace Funeral" and even though, when playing live, they play the Phantasm theme to pay tribute to Entombed, their synth composition on the studio track is just as addictive to listen to as Fred Myrow's theme for Phantasm. Awesome stuff 🤘

Another swedish band you should listen too, if you don't know already is Dismember, classical swedish Death Metal as Entombed. I would suggest any song from their album Indecent and Obscene

Truly one of the best death metal albums of all time. Maybe not the best implementation of some of the different ideas, but such an early, and just absolutely amazing showcase of so many ideas.

Entomed have tried to make their own sound and I think many think they have succeeded. But here I can clearly hear how much impact Chuck Schuldiner of Death had on the whole Death metal scene. R.I.P. Chuck.
