That cheap black piece of plastic that slides on the shaft of the spear broke after about a dozen shots. This thing needs to be made of metal I am surprised and disappointed that a company like Mares hasn't found a better solution than the black cheap plastic line retainer.

my Mares short snub comes with rubber.. .how do I install that small rubber band? is it part of the string that attaches to the spear shaft?
