Just for your info, Sun Goku is inspired by Sun Wukong. This game is almost true to the source materials, which is the Journey to The West novel published almost 500 years ago in China, and still remains one of the most well known classics in Asia.

Thus when the western audience learns that Son is actually Sun, a chinese mythology figure, they don't find it strange anymore and get accustomed and accept the character quite easily.

@@中華傲訣 I’m not denying any of that. I’m just saying why choose to pronounce it wrong even when Wukong is in the game title. If you use Goku to refer to Wukong the monkey king, not the anime character, then please make an effort to pronounce it right.

Love your reactions! I do agree with the comments that the Monkey King should be called "Wukong" instead of "Goku". It is true that Goku is the Japanese translation of Wukong, and they did a really good job adapting and making Goku such a popular character among the world. But if you ever read the original novel of Journey to the west, you will understand that Wukong represents something much more deeper and is very different. Goku is Goku, a super saiyan who saves the world. Wukong is wukong, a monkey who fought his own destiney and eventually became the victorious buddha. For us who grew up reading the original novel, I would really appreciate it if you can call this monkey "Wukong" instead of "Goku". Thank you.

So glad to be at the presence of someone else that absolutely loves, size to scale in games where your tiny playable character has to face some of the largest creatures, abominations, gods, aliens, and robots imaginable. Seeing such hulking monsters and how the move and interact with the player and environment are a thing like no other. Too big for the screen is definitely a must have for me in gaming. That deserves a sub. I so can’t wait for this game. And those 4 celestial kings/gods at the end are also much, much larger than Wukong, so it’ll be interesting to see how we fight them.

Goku is not Wukong. Although dragon ball is inspired by Wukong. But they have totally different abilities and story. So they are not the same thing. If u say Goku to people, they will only think of dragon ball.😅

Thst review was bs, thst review said thete was blocking and parrying which isnt true. You only have a doge roll fir defence. Thete is no parrying or blocking and the story is around 20 to 30 hours long. The review was taken down because it wasnt real.

Means the combat is watered down, and combat is probably the number one thing the devs should care about in this game as people will come into this game expecting one of the best combats in gaming. No parrying/blocking sucks.

@@DoctorStrange01 there's isn't blocking or parrying but you can change into 72 differant transformations which will make the combat interesting and it isn't watered down. The transformations is where the combat will be unique.

@allanwhittle4603 From some trailers/trials i've seen, blocking&parrying are not official mechanics, but we can still use it through some of Wukong's skillsets. Like Stone Skin (1 of 72 skills of Wukong) for Parrying, etc... So this will kinda be unique and fascinating though
