The variety was not really there: basically a game of ARs. Some of the equipment, a few perks, and kill streaks were also useless. If it were more balanced, like COD 4, with all the other features, I'd say yes. I'd say buff the useless stuff and you'd have close to a perfect game.

at this point you can't even trust a remaster from those guys. they'll turn the game into an utter piece of shit and find every way to make it about earning the most money rather than to make it their all to be giving to long time hardcore fans of a classic era that'll never be restored. the only thing they realistically improved is gameplay. no more balance. the last modern warfare reboots might be good gameplay wise but COD is a scheme to get money in every aspect they can and never balance anything, just loads of battlepass bullshit. they've taken the first two modern warfares, slapped the label onto a new title and turned it into a money generator. now they do shit like create ridiculous ways for you to level up and unlock weapons. it shouldn't be such an effort to have fun, but it has become that way for this series. it pisses me off that people still give into this shit and that these guys, after all the success they've had, only look to generate more money than to be sincere or generous to people who've loved and cherished these classics so much for so long now.

I remember being in school when this came out and waiting all day to go home and play it. Practically ran home at the end of the day 😂 playing kino der toten with a group of friends for the first time ever was such an amazing experience, back before there were any real tactics to zombies and you just had to find somewhere to hold up and hope you could keep them back. For a while our main tactic was camping in the building at the end of the outside alleyway, making sure to keep the door leading to the theatre stage locked. 2 players camping the windows and 2 camping the stairs, the nerves and excitement before every round wondering if we’d get over run this time. Such good times! Life comes at you fast, rarely get to play games anymore but I’m grateful for all the fun times I had back in 2007-2014.

Honestly watching this video makes me feel very strange it brings back the absolutely amazing memories and feelings during those times when I was a teenager (Late night split screen zombies with friends, online squeeker shit talking, i remeber sweating all the time when playing because how hot my b Xbox and TV would make the room my eyes blood shot red and dry from so much screen time, prestige after prestige, out of map glitches zombie glitches dolphin diving for no reason that function was pretty much useless and actually hurt you more than it helped but it was fun) at the same time it also makes me a little sad deep down because for some reason I feel like I'll never have this nostalgic experience ever again. Good thing I played this the he'll out of my Xbox during those days. I got to enjoy it while it lasted.

This is the only cod i ever hit max prestige in. I played balls to the wall every single game with famas, ak, commando, dual mag, lightweight, sleight of hand and marathon. Playing solo ended I up with a 1.92kdr with a purely offensive playstyle. the og mw1 and mw2 have a special place in my heart, but there was something else about bo1 that i loved. great game, fun times.

What made me love BO1 multiplayer more than MW2 is everything was a lot more balance. Don't get me wrong most guns in BO1 where OP as fuck like MW2 but it didn't have all the ridiculous BS that MW2 had. Ex. It didn't have Danger Close, 1-Man Army Noobtubes. Those two alone ruined a good portion of my games. BO1 also gave us Flak Jacket as a perk so excessive explosives wouldn't be so punishing and I know MW2 had Blast Shield but that shit took like half of your screen away.

I’ve played MW2, COD4, and WAW… but this is the COD that’s made me a sweat. From Double XP weekends, comparing KDRS, actually enjoying the prestige grind, saving/ gambling up credits to buy gold…etc. It was so simple, yet so fun. Playing on PS3 and having to wait a whole month after Xbox to get the DLC was oddly fun😂😂. Nowadays I get bored of cod with in the first few weeks smh. Knowing I could never get that nostalgic, or “fun factor” feeling from the newer Cods just makes them unplayable for me. Shoutout Cod from Cod 4- Bo2 truly a GREAT time to experience gaming.

Doesn't help that Dead Silence is as field upgrade. Practically everyone uses headphones now and everyone can hear you without DS. UAV's are called in almost all the time, even with a large selection of streaks to choose from... people go for the UAV because anyone with Ghost gets to use it halfway through the game

However, looking at this and playing MWII from 2022, it really shows how CoD progressed in a good way in my opinion. Guns actually kick and have a feeling, movement is superb and core gameplay feels much more satisfying. Nevertheless, all the things outside of gameplay like progression and microtransactions took a nose down, a huge nose deep down.
