Black Ops 2 Update (Xbox Series X) - 2024

Black Ops 2 Update went live by Treyarch to address and fix some issues. I learned about this update from a video that I was skeptical about. I thought the video was gonna be some clickbait thing about how good Black Ops 2 used to be and how nostalgic it is. But I was wrong. Treyarch released an update on Black Ops 2, which made some people believe that Xbox is getting Black Ops 2 ready to go on the Xbox Game Pass in 2024.
Two major changes came with this update. The emblem editor and theater mode working. A few years ago, theater mode stopped functioning because that was Treyarch's attempt at disabling all the theater mode infections. Of course, the damage was already done. But it helped stop the modding infection from growing, only after 30+ million views on Black Ops 2. Like I said, damage was done. In 2024, Treyarch released a patch part of an update to fix the everything on the game.
The Black Ops 2 Update also disabled some theater mode infections from working. This update did not patch all of them, only some of them. So there are still going to be Xbox Hackers on BO2. Maybe Treyarch will update BO2 in the future to rid the game from theater mode infections. Until then, we might as well enjoy the emblem editor and theater mode like good times!

the mods can be fun in zombies etc. But when your just try a play multiplayer and people are modding it’s annoying af. There’s no fun to it at all.

I am glad they fixed theater. Some infections are awesome. I have modded gamemode ones such as prophunt, infected, dodgeball, etc. and now even more modded gamemodes can be made, i also have modded camos such as rainbow afterlife/cyborg, and a blue galaxy camo, etc. theres also ones that change you laser color to green or blue. Now they can be more modded camos be made now. Maybe in the future Custom textures on your character can be made. BUT! Mod menus do suck in public matches. Force host should be removed.

Technically, it is still against ToS. But I personally don’t care if someone uses them in private games. It’s not hurting anyone’s playing experience, public stats, etc. I think it’s perfectly ok.

Treyarch are making a small little come back because Call of Duty will/should be on Game Pass in April or June this year and that's why they're trying to fix everything before it gets put on Game Pass

Last time I checked on Xbox 1 bo2 360 style the menus don't open the only thing that works is auto saved thing so if they mske the clip with esp and aimbot you would have it without menu

Only real way to fix infections is keeping theatre mode bricked and not work, but Microsoft won't do that.. This game is forever fucked.

They tried to fix them from the CodTV section years ago, which worked for a while but they have always been accessable. The main way is as you said people make accounts and put them in their file share.
