I used to be completely against sbmm until I’ve seen clips like that. These players at the bottom of the barrel shouldn’t play against someone like me, let alone anyone better than me. They’d understandably get off the game and never want to play again. However, sbmm shouldn’t be as strict as it is. Most of my solo queue matches in the beta were ridiculously sweaty. 90% of the feed in weekend 1 was the Jackal PDW and everyone was sweating. I could barely try other weapons while still even getting a UAV. SBMM should allow for a broader skill range in pubs. Ranked should have it around your rank. Hidden MMR has been a terrible feature for someone like me. I mainly grind pubs and when I tried ranked, I immediately got matched with diamonds as a bronze. Another point I can bring up against sbmm is that my friends aren’t at my skill, so they usually get upset after a few games of playing partied up with me. They don’t even want to play the game on their own either.

I don't know when you first started playing, for me it was MW2 2009. I was 10 years old. I'm not gonna sit here and pretend I remember how my first game went, but it was probably like 1/15 or even 0 kills. Did I stop playing? No. I kept playing and eventually got a lot better at the game (Bo1 I was alright, and Mw3 started playing GBs). That learning curve happened to pretty much everybody else that started at around that time. The problem is nowadays people want instant gratification, and give up before putting in the work.

the most dogshit bottom of the rung, 0.4kd players shouldn't be playing people 2kd+ but having a high kd shouldn't just limit you to exclusively playing high kd players and they need to remove this matchmaking habit of balancing teams by putting worse players on your team, i shouldn't have to hard carry my team to win games my team should be competitive with the other team, if i wasn't there they should still put up a fight

The only problem I have with SBMM is when I play with my friends, their KDs are negative or right around 1.00. They just get slaughtered for 3 games then get off, or I let them play themselves so they can have some fun lol it’s just annoying

@@TridentRushedbut it isn’t. Ranked still has hidden mmr and sbmm and you can be hard stuck low level and be better than people higher for various reasons. Ranked ranking system is terrible. Every diamond 1 should be just as good as every other diamond 1, but it’s simply not the case. You should either be placed in a rank based directly off of your hidden mmr, or there should be no hidden mmr and play placement matches. Then battle it out from there. Just isn’t how it works. ESPECIALLY when a season restarts. Just doesn’t make sense. The entire thing is designed to keep people playing more instead of actually being in the rank you should be.

Totally agree!!! Most reverse boosters don’t say it on every video but acknowledge it so I too don’t really care about those guys. I spend 90% of my time in ranked and only care about game fluidity.

I think sbmm should protect the lower skilled players (kids or disabled people) and put them in lobbies they can have fun in while putting super skilled people who play for challenge (the top 5%) together and put everyone else in the same pool so everyone gets what they want

SBMM is the worst thing that has ever come to COD - if you want to progressively play against the best players, make a ranked game mode. Why should people who want to play casually have to play against sweats 24/7 simply because they are good at the game on a casual level, and equally why put them against complete bots. Have a mixed level in all lobbys, very good players and very bad players. It’s how you get better, it’s how i got better on the first cods like COD4, WAW etc etc. It’s part of the game, you get better by just playing, you dont get better by having one good game against trash players and then playing people who play like they’re an Esports champion.

I agree with a lot of what you said here. I'm for sbmm but I wish it would be lessened in public games. I could barely test out other weapons in the beta playing solo and it's gonna make the camo grind more annoying when the game comes out. The 2 boxing and reverse boosting is a little more complicated. As an above average player it does happen to me occasionally when I play with certain friends that have very low KD's but even then it's a toss up of wether or not we get my lobbies or theirs which creates it's own issues. I think the streamers who do this actively should at the very least be transparent about it. It's still frustrating seeing them being touted as the best at whatever they're playing while doing this. I am hopeful that Treyarch will get a lot of the little annoyances figured out but there are definitely some larger concerns on the competitive and ranked side of things.

I’m an iri player, mostly a wz player (due to too many hackers in Mp rank as a pc player) but I have a friend who 2boxes and I’ve played in a few 2box lobbies which is fun to mess around, not to sweat my a** off. I prefer the competitive scene however after going against cheater all day I can’t blame people for wanting to 2box

And I play on the PC myself and unfortunately I had 6 reports from Activision where I reported someone and they thanked me for reporting cheaters and I think 6 reports within 2 days is a lot. Of course it could also have happened that these people weren't cheating at all, but they seemed very suspicious to me and if something seems suspicious to me, I just report it

I just don’t understand the need for sbmm in a casual playlist, if i wanted to play against people at my skill i would go play ranked and in the beta i felt burnt out after 3 games everyday because its just to sweaty

Tbh one of the reasons why we can't make 2 Boxing a bannable offense is a reason why some people 2 Box, playing with there friends. Like I play with this one really amazing multi Iri dude and his girlfriend who isn't that good at Cod yet, she just started playing Mid Mw3 like in Season 3-4, and that would lead to the point of if that's considered 2 Boxing if we get her lobbies, because she's legit playing and the sbmm is doing lobbies for her skill level, but you have me and the other guy who are really good players and can easily get 100+ kills in her lobbies, and if we do our lobbies, she gets smoked and doesn't have fun so she wouldn't want to play with us, so it's kinda at a stand still, and because Cod wouldn't care about the context behind it, we could potentially get banned for 2 Boxing and is why I say they can't make 2 Boxing bannabke or there would be a lot of false bans

I been ban on 3 accounts on the open beta for just spimply being mass reported. If activision doesnt overhaul the anti-cheat before the game comes out there will be bigger problems when the full game comes out and when people start spending money on it and they just get randomly ban with over 100+ dollars on the game.

Imagine if sbmm didn’t exist and lobbies were just mixed. All the good players shouldn’t be paired only with the good players and the bad players shouldn’t only be paired with bad players. If you’re bad and you get a lobby you can’t handle you can always back out. This obsession everyone has with only playing against bad players is why I hate sbmm back in the day getting a “good lobby” didn’t exist. In a weird way having a mix of good and bad players together is more balanced than not

If everybody can get into the bot lobbies, there’s no reason to patch. It allows a change of pace between matches and leads to not doing the same thing every fucking match and if you think about it it’s still fun to get 3 nukes.

The lobby rank needs to be subtly watermarked on screen in some way. True bots have had the '3arc' clan tag for years to highlight the gameplay is from a fantasy lobby, find a similar identifier for all the skill levels. Perhaps put tiny icons on everyone's calling card or keep it nearly imperceptible but hard to cover with a face cam. Maybe something on the minimap that suggests it's an incubator lobby. I love watching good players challenged by other good players. I have no interest in shameless all-star squads beating up on tee-ball kids still learning basic fundamentals.

2-boxing and reverse boosting have always been problematic, it's been creating a false image for players who seem skilled but, in reality, aren't. Goes from snipers to people that apparently drop nukes every hour. If the entire COD player base engaged in this, it would be a serious issue. It's worth asking creators who intentionally tank their lobbies: 'Why can't you perform at the same level without reverse boosting?' I have much more respect for people who are insanely good at the game and can do it in any lobby vs the ones who have to play AI bots The same applies to Warzone. Anyone can rack up 30+ kills in a 0.5 average KD lobby and then post it as content, but why can't they replicate that in a normal lobby or during tournaments? I think most of the community recognizes this, but the spotlight tends to shine more on players who always use these ways to get easier lobbies. Meanwhile, genuinely great players, like those who perform insane stuff in ranked, often get overlooked because they don't rely on reverse boosting or 2-boxing. just my 2 cents

First I want to say that I havent played a COD since Modern Doorfare 2019, cause it ruined my COD experience. I started playing MW3 like a few weeks ago since its on gamepass now. All I know is that the last years cods were a 2-6 at best and thats saying a lot for such a big franchise. So we are on a comman ground now. I personally use a "nephew" account when I play MW3. Now why do I do this? I want to make one thing clear: I dont want to play against bad palyers ALL THE TIME. This seems to be a commen myth that all the good players just want to slaughter noobs and I can tell you it gets boring real fast. We want the matches to feel different. Sometimes you slaughter everyone in your lobby and get a high kill game or even a nuke or whatever they call it today. Sometimes you have to sweat the objective against a full stack of tryhards and sometimes you get something in between. With SBMM/EOMM all that is gone. Almost every lobby you get into feels the same, until Activision throws you a bone with a slightly easier lobby. The system is made to manipulate your behavior. It want to make you adicted to the cycle and keep you engaged with the game as long as possible. They want you to buy things in the shop which, if you didnt know, will give you easier lobbies so you will connect the good feeling of these easier lobbies with you purchase. This is wrong on so many levels by it self, but it gets worse. For everyone who played the BO6 Beta let me ask you this: How was your connection? Did you get a lot of package Burst and bad Ping? Well if your a good player this is a commen thing, cause your matching pool of players gets lower and lower the better you are and the game will connect you to Lobbies with worse connection. Ping isnt king anymore. For example I played the BO6 Beta alone, with a frient of mine whos pretty casual and with a "nephew" account. My solo rounds where SBMM/EOMM was in full force were the worsed. Every lobby was the same plus I got a bad connection (70-120 ping with a 1 Gbit internet....) and constant package burst. When I played with my friend the lobbies already had more variety and the connection was better. Not great but tollerable. At last the lobbies with the "nephew" account were the best overall. Best ping, least package burst, high variety and not that many sweats. I could just level up my weapons without sweating for the honor of my family every game. So after reading all of this I want you to ask yourself, if it is fair that you get punished with no variety and bad connections just cause you played this game (genre) for years and are more skilled than other players. If you use this method just be honest with others and dont stat pad your nephew so you play against disabled people, cause for thos there should be a protected braket.

i do agree on the fact that if you reverse boost or two box in your videos and other content you make you should be very upfront and honest about it and as far as the cheating problem i dont think we really will see a fix until we get an anti cheat like valorant and league with riot where its downloaded into your pc and can detect any programs that are being used to cheat

Reverse boosting is just bannable. It's just bad behavior. In any game where you intentionally throw you get banned. Ranked or not. But apparently this is ok with COD players. Pairing up with a new account is whatever or making a new account is whatever. The SBMM works and it will put you out of those lobbies eventually. The only thing you can do to fix that is implement things that's ok everywhere else in the world except NA.

Problem is it’s not true SBMM. It puts really bad players on your team and then pretty decent to above average players on the other team. At the end of the game I have like a 2.5kd and my entire team is negative and the other team is all hovering around a 1.2-1.7kd and my team loses because I get all the worst players on my team. This happens constantly it’s like the game is like ok you won now it’s your turn to lose and you can’t do much about it.

My issue is they both are doing the same thing.. people didn't know about SBMM (EOMM) until years ago.. and activsion is still trying to lie about it... its not like activsion was telling everyone in every game that SBMM is in the game... and they are also taking peoples money.. only activision can stop this and they are not because they still make money.. its 2 wrongs that was started by a company.. I do believe that content creators should be upfront about it.. but why should they when the game they bought is not either.. I don't agree with either side.. But I do understand why people reverse boost and unfortunately the buyers are always going to be the ones to get hurt by this... but activsion is the full blame IMO

Well I have to honestly say I don't think it's good with two boxing either, although I do it myself but I'm not a KZbinr or streamer either and that's exactly the problem, I'm just not as good as you. For example, because I'm not I'm a KZbinr and streamer because that's not how I make my money. But I do it for myself so that I don't have to play sweaty, especially in normal lobbies. I mean, I also like playing ranked lobbies, but SBMM doesn't bother me, that's why I play it, but in my opinion the normal lobbies are sweatier than the ranked lobbies and those In my opinion, normal lobbies should be more. to have fun and not to sweat for your life. Of course, that's less of a problem for you because you're one of the best players, but unfortunately not everyone makes it into the top 250 and that's just how it is for everyone else really hard to have fun in the normal lobbies.

I just want the game to stop making my connection worst in order to give buff to another players connection. EOMM is the bigger proble., not SBMM. Also, tired of playing against T250 and iridencenta in the lobby when im just a fuxking Diamond III. Hopfully that wont be the case this season. How about the shadow banning, without even cheating? Just simply hitting most of your shots and being good at the game? Shadow banning comes from spam reporting from multiple accounts. To add on to this, activision doesn't even have a real support team, where you can submit a ticket to lift the shadow ban.. Two of my accounts (ALT) already got shadow banned and i don't think its been un banned yet. Activision needs to do better with this..

Amen to the cheater issue. Im a Kbam sniper and I've been shadowbanned 10+ already on MW3. Im a legit player using ABSOLUTELY no cheats. If Cod doesn't fix the shadowban issue for legit players Im gonna drop Cod for good. Not fair for me to pay for a game and not be able to play because Im being reported constantly. You can't leave someone being banned up to the players. Make a legit anti cheat and stop banning legit players just because they shit on bad players and get reported.

Brother stop pushing what they pay you to push and speak true. Skill based match making is ACTUALLY engagement based. Complete with nerfs and buffs, lag switches, and downright stupid lobbies. When you destroy the other 99% of the player population Im sure ebmm doesnt matter to you. But the dads grinding blue collar getting an hour and giving it to cod to get kicked mid match because his prescence in the lobby might convince 4 other players on the other team to stop playing.... Ya THATS where they messed up. THATS what they need to fix. And I have the solution. Wipe its existance off the face of the Earth and NEVER speak of it again. Boom, level playing field of TRUE skill based matchmaking. Not "maximize potential profits maybe..."

as long as its not cheating I could care less about abusing the SBMM. We have wanted it gone for years and it should be gone. If there was no SBMM some games would look like the examples shown. I remember the days of dropping 200 kills in MW3 2011 and it should return! Skill is no ones issue but your own. Why am I to suffer against cheaters just because I am better than most players?

One of the big issues with banning cheaters is that it's more "effective" to do it in large waves every few months - because it forces the cheat developers to look at all the changes they made within that timespan to see what got them caught - it also lines up with PayPal's charge back window - so a bunch of cheat buyers will chargeback their purchases at the same time and create aassive headache for the developers

The thing about these two boxing KZbinrs is that they're dropping like triple nukes every game even back in the day when skill-based wasn't a thing lobbies were never this easy. That's what frustrates me with these KZbinrs lying to their viewers because getting a triple nuke back in the day was a rare thing and now with the two boxing method it's a common thing You got these kids like hero who flex a 10KD before every video on his combat record like it's legit. With SBMM, pubstomping gameplays and stats are meaningless. It is what it is. I'm more annoyed by the ignorance of the audience. The only pubstomping gameplay I watch is from pros and other proven high-level competitive players such as yourself. What are your thoughts on being able to shoot while sliding and diving, for competitive specifically? I love movement and fast-paced gameplay, but I'm worried that running head first might become too effective. Rushing has always been the most difficult play style to do master, but that might be changing.

if it were true SBMM I might understand the disdain for people who reverse boost, etc., but it's not. it's EOMM, and your experience with the game is being artificially manipulated in a huge way-this is a logical pushback, and wouldn't be necessary if the matchmaking were different in the first place. Activision has repeatedly lied about prioritizing ping in matchmaking, but people who live in the same city as a server [allegedly] are still pinging 30. blame Activision. the tweet about "if people did this back in the day they would be flamed" is moronic; nobody did this "back in the day" because there WAS NO EOMM "BACK IN THE DAY." somehow, inexplicably, the Call of Duty games that are *near universally* considered the best-by comp players and casuals alike-had zero or extremely weak SB/EOMM. believe it or not, if you make a fundamentally good game, you don't have to manipulate people into playing it. also, top 0.01% players aren't going to experience the negatives of the matchmaking as much as slightly-above-average players. yes, you'll be primarily placed into the highest matchmaking tier, but most of the players are still going to be worse than you, so it won't feel particularly egregious. I've lost count of how many times a pro or skilled streamer has been like "woah, this is a REALLY tough lobby" and gone on to drop a 50-5 scoreline. that's not how normal above-average players experience the matchmaking. to be clear: I think doing it for CONTENT is lame, but I understand when people do it to enjoy the game more.

I think because of how bad these maps are BO1 map remakes wouldn’t be bad simply because I think those maps fit with omnimovement (more so maps like stadium and on that had map manipulation but there are plenty base maps) but I’m not a fan of map remakes just be original but these maps aren’t the best

2boxxer here, and a veteran cod player. Always had 2-3+ kdr in every cod I played, including the high sbmm and eomm games. Just got bored of sweating and raging in the lobbies I was placed in. It felt nothing like the older days. Literally purchased another copy of the game for my Xbox tried 2boxxing and I was hooked. I don’t do it for content or attention, I literally am just trying to chase the nostalgia I felt in the old days. Truth is, it still isn’t there for 2boxxing. It’s scummy, playing against people far worse than you are, but the same way it’s the way I learned to play the game. I do it to try to enjoy the game that I now have so little time to play. My hours played shouldn’t count against me when I go into a public match.
