The problem with recon in hardcore isn’t just that you can’t control the map. It makes players just sit in the middle and hold tight spots because they’re scared to get punished for pushing into the other team’s spawn. This leads to more camping, which is something hardcore already has a problem with.

Best option for recon would be either to change it so it only works every so many deaths, like every 5 deaths instead of every time. Or add something that could cancel it out at the cost of something else, like a wild card that cancels out recon but you can’t have a specialist yourself.

Demolition was goated. I'm a big fan of Capture the flag (CTF). Same concept. Allowing the game to drag all the way to overtime and only cap the flag at the last second. Another great spawn trapping mode.

so far ive enjoyed this cod the most in the past few years. I barely played MW2 and didnt even touch MW3, but this experience has been a bit better and with the prestige rewards and camos to grind out i actually wanna play this game again this year. I only get a few hours at night as i got kids and gotta take care of business during the day and so far almost diamond ars. i get like 3-4 hours a night to play and sometimes i just cant, but I'm more focused on just slowing it down and getting leveled up too. For about 13 hours of in game time i almost have diamond ARs and im happy with my progress even tho its slow. Glad to see you enjoying the grind and loving the videos!

Hot take? Recon does not need nerfing. It needs to be removed from Face Off and then once they sort the spawns out in normal maps, then Recon will work how it was intended... Stop bugging the devs about Recon and instead bug them about the Spawns Edit: Maybe I just have a different view as a dedicated sniper. But, if they were to nerf it, I think the best way is having it as a "Snapshot". So when you spawn, you see where the enemies are, but it doesn't track their movement. That way you just have the general idea of where they are, but not their EXACT movement location

we've got a black ops 1 nuketown, playing the cycle where black ops 2 took place (2025), and are able to unlock a camo that was first introduced in black ops 3. were just missing BO4 and Cold war references now

JEV, TIP FOR ZOMBIES CAMO CHALLENGE. For the Easter egg on liberty falls you have to spawn in a boss zombie an keep it alive to finish the Easter egg, BUT if you don't keep it alive and instead kill it, you can make it respawn over and over again so you can count it as a boss zombie kill and get the camo without spawning in the other zombies, it will progress the round, but after a round you can do It again. And you can start this on a low round so it's easier. Just pack your gun once, upgrade the rarity, and add the fire mod on your gun because it destroys the boss zombies. PSA, you only have to defend the ethier machine once, after you've defended it you can just keep spawning in a boss zombie without another defence step.

If you use rampage mode the entire time and stay on the roof of the liberty falls bank (only using the zipline from graveyard and not opening any other ziplines/doors) you can go through 31 rounds and exfil in abt 25-35 minutes and get around 35-40k xp/game plus 1500/2000 headshots needed for military camo completion

Maybe with recon being used so much. You'll need to break the map flow by falling back and repositioning each time. I think the military term is tactical withdrawal and/or feigned retreat. Then, you'd need to get comfortable falling back to midfield/backfield positions to move back forward along a new path. A team could have players rotate with players in the back covering the retreat of the players in the front before moving forward themselves. Then, when players go to ambush you with recon. Your teammates ambush them instead. You know where they'll be. They'll be rushing the last position recon showed you in.

I have a Recon Overhaul Idea. RECON gets scrapped and repclace with Ghost and keep no skulls upon killing enemies. High Alert becomes a perk to replace Ghost. Cold Blooded gets the added trait to counter High Alert.

I hated this game at first. Hopped on today and it changed my mind. Had 8 straight 80 kills games. Went from level 12 to 29! That mp5 clone is so fun to use on nuketown.

Hardcore nuketown is a saviour for something like me who had a 9-5 I got 3 guns gold in 4 hours which I think I decent, I’m also half way done with nebula camo too

Tbh I feel if they made it to where recon can only see still players while players in motion won’t be spotted and it would make it far more fair and make more sense

I think a simple Nerf would be to make it just ping them with the red outline and not track them for a second so you can’t see where they’re going just where they were when you spawn or only have it ping every other death

Recon should keep the skulls on death; keep the high alert but change the wall hacks to a uav pulse. Reckon that does the same job but makes it fairer.

I wish a cod would bring back the currency system from BO1. I always thought it was so cool to save up and purchase the weapons/camos/calling cards etc... Gave you something to work towards each game cause you wanted to buy a new gun/camo.

Highly recommend getting Aether Shroud perma unlocked since it’s easily the best get out of jail free card in game and it unlocks a bit late.

That’s what I’m planning to do next. I’m about to hit Prestige 2 and I’m gonna use my Token on Aether Shroud. I was gonna get it at Prestige 1, but I play SND with friends and Ninja is a necessity for that mode. Lol
