Hey everyone! Season 02 is live but sadly it is more of the same around gameplay wise. What do you think of The Tomb? I'm enjoying the zombies quite a bit. Completing the easter egg it doesn't take too much prep time. We just attempted the Easter egg and we couldn’t deal any damage to the final boss. For some reason 2 upgraded ice staffs, golden triple packed GS45, and lots of ammo does nothing. Wasted my good gobblegums for that run. It’s stuff like this that turns me off from the game. Thanks for watching, sorry for being burned out but after uploading this game for so long I'm really burned out (and bored) of it.

Not sure if it’s the ever tightening SBMM/EOMM, the rampant cheating, the game-breaking bugs, the blatant money grab or a combination of all of the above, but the burnout is real and people are fed up. I’ve played cod every year since 2005 and I just stop playing after December when I’m done grinding camos. I’ll check in periodically throughout the year but usually get bored pretty quickly. It’s the same kill die loop and I think you can only play it so much before just getting bored. I like checking it on vids like this and yeah just the going around the same circle cod is. Warzone was a breath of fresh air for a little but even that now has just stagnated. Same map for over a year and then just brining back verdansk since nostalgia is like 80% of what cod is now. I could almost put money that a mw 2019 remastered is just coming around the corner Play other games I say but I understand how it can be difficult when you cover mainly cod. Love watching your vids throughout the years and want you to just do what you love.

I got dark matter and havent had the desire to play since. this game has barely been out and i should be wanting to play but unfortunately i dont. i believe a lot of it has to do with SBMM, every match is super sweaty so there is no point to doing better.

The burnout is no joke. I haven’t touched the game in over a month at this point. It’s helped me enjoy playing other games. I will say my spark has recently started to comeback and that’s mainly due to the fact I’ve just been playing the older CoDs. I currently have more fun playing Bo2, Bo4, MW2019 and CoD WW2 at the moment.

It's weird to say, but even though it's kind of a slow vibe. This was the most refreshing CoD video I've seen in a while. You spoke this video from your true interest and was so intentional with your feedback. I too have fell flat with my interest in CoD. Every day I get TikToks/Reels/YT Vids of people talking in their "Nerf or Nothin" voice explaining why this is oh so exciting. If it is exciting to them, I cannot hate at all because I wish I felt the same. The guns feel like slider adjustments, and the maps feel like they were probably randomly generated sometimes. Especially when you notice reused assets everywhere ( I understand the use, but after so many years it has gotten too familiar) As someone that has always appreciated your take on CoD, this was also a favorite because you understand what a lot of us feel. I remember back in Black Ops 1 I heard people saying "It's just CoD, point+shoot+crouch=CoD." Regardless, you make anything exciting to hear about, and kudos to you for using your platform to speak up on your real interest with the franchise.

I think after playing so much throughout the years, it just kinda naturally gets to that point, where everything feels boring and repetitive. We've seen it all as we've experienced everything COD has to offer and the child-like excitement the franchise used to give us has slowly dwindled away. There’s just too many lanes that look directly into spawns let me be a ninja turtle again. One thing that I kind of miss about Vanguard and to a lesser extent the modern Modern Warfare trilogy is how the weapons often felt unique compared to each other due to how the gunsmith worked. In Vanguard guns often had unique barrels that changed how they functioned like turning a full auto gun into a burst fire, notably changing the fire rate, or even letting the SVT get one-shot kills to the upper torso for example, and guns also had different ammo types so you could change their fire rate and damage. While the balance was an issue, each gun felt unique to use. And in the modern MW trilogy due to how the gunsmith worked each gun felt unique in my opinion even later MW23 DLC guns, and especially the MW22 and MW23 guns with the after-market parts. In my opinion, the main issue with why all of the BO6 guns and why they feel so similar is that they all have the same attachments and progression and a lot of the attachments feel lackluster or redundant. You don’t need the bullet velocity barrels on like 90% of the guns due to how bullet velocity is calculated, the movement barrels don’t have much of an effect, and headshot barrels rarely have an impact. So because of how the gunsmith is balanced, it feels like you are building every weapon the same and there is little reason to deviate even for fun unless the gun as something like the cross bar on LMGs or one of the new attachments they are adding.

Yeah MW 2019 and MWIII did this really well. MW 2019 had sub weapons you could make out of a base gun like turning an M4 into an smg or DMR or turning an AUG smg into an AR or LMG. MWIII then took this way further with the Aftermarket Part system

On one hand, the COD fanatic in me misses the exotic weapons of jetpack era cods, like the Havelina AA50 sniper in BO4 where you load in one 50 cal round at a time like a shotgun, the Karma 45 or the VPR SMGs with double magazine inserts and double the output, or something like the Rift E9 or Banshii from BO3 that does exactly like what you say, the energy projectiles galore from these weapons were something else. On the other hand, this weapons nerd is baffled to see the TKB-022 (Cypher 091) make it into COD, but they could've made a TKB-047 -- a three barrel, 2000 RPM, triple mag beast of an IRL rifle that could melt if it were in this game. Case and point, they are operating off of existing blueprints (Feng 82 is a Sidewinder clone, Cypher 091 is a Holger clone) when they should be focusing on making something original, and that could be tough when the era they have set themselves in ends up backfiring by restricting their choices. That being said, the STORE BUNDLES have all these wacky cosmetics and outlandish creativity, they got animations and shit on the bundle screen. By golly the only thing that has appeal in BO6 is that cosmetics screen because of course it does. 9:11 Good choice. Keep doing that.

Marvel Rivals has reignited my passion for gaming. I've been playing every cod since cod4. The need to play it (Rivals) after whatever tasks I have to do that day has returned to my life. It's refreshing to experience a game with such depth. I wasn't really a fan of overwatch but my interest in the marvel universe has pulled me in!

It just sucks that when I do decide to play (mainly WZ), there are so many bugs paired with SBMM/EOMM that suck the life out of the game for me. I think the underbarrel crossbow is good summary to that "more of the same" feeling. obviously props to the designers and animators of the attachment, but in terms of gameplay design what makes the crossbow any different from any other grenade launcher? see, MW3's underbarrel AMPs were interesting not just from a visual standpoint, but from gameplay design as well- they opened up opportunities never before possible in that slot, and were something you could sorta build around. take the chainsaw for example, beyond looking sick as hell- the only other way to get a 1-hit melee was with a breacher device in the muzzle slot, or taking a throwing knife. The chainsaw lets you retain that instakill melee while leaving the barrel open for a suppressor or muzzle brake and frees up the grenade slot. even if you didn't care about that aspect, it was also a dependable means to deal with riot shields at close range- bypassing the shield altogether! this extends to the flamethrower too. sure it cooked shields and was only good at close range, but it let you hose em down at a safe distance, iirc damage multiple targets at once, and was distinct enough to not feel like a rehashed concept- unlike the crossbow. like honestly, beyond the visuals, the crossbow's just a grenade launcher that shoots semtex. it doesn't provide anything different to your kit, it's just the same thing in a different shell. I genuinely believe it should've been loaded with regular bolts instead of explosive- a ranged instakill that can give any weapon a stealth option. one change makes it distinct from all the other launchers in that slot, and has a niche but useful purpose.
