T'Challa was never an isolationist, not intentionally, at least; he was a traditionalist. His entire arc in this movie was an exploration of how deeply he believed in the traditions of the past. So, yeah. Even though the country had an isolationist policy, it was more something that had to be maintained as opposed to T'Challa's own philosophy. He was just following in the footsteps of his predecessors, which he thought was right. But he separates himself from them by the end. Yay! :)

I think some might have missed Killmonger breaking his spear at the first joust. The shortened spear is a clear reference to Shaka Zulu. KingCodester111 Yes I agree, but when he was about to die in the end and told T’Challa he wanted to die I was sad. I wanted him to live and turn on them which would cause another movie!

I wasn't. However, I understood Killmonger and how someone can come to believe his ideology. It was sad that he died at the end. He could have been part of something bigger, helping T'Challa use Wakandan resources to help everyone--black, white, yellow, red, green, blue, and orange.

If his father just could have taken him back to Wakanda, he could have turned out to be a happier and well adjusted person. And that's what made him that more tragic...
